Adult diapers price manufacturers

The price is primarily driven by the SAP (Super Absorbent Polymer) content and the pulp weight. High-quality diapers use branded SAP (like Sumitomo or BASF) which ensures a higher absorption rate and dryness. You should also look for breathable backsheets (cloth-like vs. PE film) and 3D leak guards. A higher GSM (grams per square meter) in the non-woven top layer usually indicates better comfort but will increase the unit cost.

As these are hygiene products, they must meet strict safety standards. For the US market, FDA registration is essential. For the EU, CE marking and compliance with ISO 9001:2015 for quality management and ISO 13485 for medical devices are standard requirements. Ensure the supplier provides MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) to verify that the materials used are non-irritating and non-toxic.

To achieve the best price-to-quality ratio, consider bulk purchasing in full container loads (FCL), as shipping costs for bulky, lightweight items are high. Requesting OEM/Private Labeling can add brand value, but be aware that this usually requires a higher MOQ (typically 120GP or 140HQ container). Comparing the price per gram of absorption rather than just the price per piece is a more accurate way to measure economic feasibility.

For institutional use (nursing homes), prioritize wetness indicators and refastenable tapes to reduce caregiver workload. For retail/consumer markets, focus on discreetness (thinness) and odor control technology. For heavy incontinence, ensure the product has a high absorption capacity (typically 2000ml to 4000ml) and a fast-wicking acquisition layer to prevent skin breakdown.

The biggest risk is quality inconsistency between samples and bulk production, particularly regarding absorption speed. Another risk is moisture damage during sea transit, which can ruin the SAP. To mitigate this, ensure the supplier uses moisture-proof inner packaging and request a pre-shipment inspection (PSI) by a third party like SGS or Intertek.

Focus on the total weight and SAP ratio during negotiations. Ask for a breakdown of the material costs. You can often negotiate a 3-5% discount if you agree to a long-term supply contract or if you provide your own packaging design. Always clarify the Incoterms (FOB is generally preferred) to maintain control over your logistics costs.

Always use Secured Payment services provided by the platform to ensure your funds are protected until the goods are shipped. Avoid direct wire transfers to private accounts. Ensure the Proforma Invoice (PI) clearly states the technical specifications (e.g., 'SAP 10g, Total weight 100g') to have legal recourse in case of a dispute.

Due to the high volume-to-weight ratio, Sea Freight (FCL) is the only viable option for large-scale sourcing. To maximize space, ask the supplier to use vacuum packaging, which can increase the number of pieces per container by 20-30%, significantly lowering the landed cost per unit.
