Aerosol pesticide manufacturers

Buyers must focus on the Active Ingredient (AI) concentration, typically ranging from 0.1% to 0.5% for household use (e.g., Cypermethrin, Tetramethrin). Ensure the solvent base is high-quality to prevent staining; water-based formulas are increasingly preferred for being eco-friendly and low-odor compared to oil-based ones. Additionally, verify the internal pressure (MPa) and valve quality to ensure a consistent fine mist spray pattern without leakage.

Aerosol pesticides are classified as Dangerous Goods (Class 2.1 or 2.2). Suppliers must provide a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) and a UN38.3 test report. For market entry, look for EPA registration (USA), HSE compliance (UK), or ICAMA registration (China). Ensure the packaging complies with FEA (European Aerosol Federation) standards or regional equivalents to prevent explosions during transit.

Request a Bio-efficacy Test Report from a third-party lab to confirm the Knockdown (KD) rate and Mortality rate against specific pests like mosquitoes or roaches. For safety, check the LD50 (Lethal Dose) values to ensure low mammalian toxicity. It is highly recommended to source from manufacturers listed on Made-in-China.com who hold ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certifications to ensure batch-to-batch consistency.

Professional suppliers should offer customized tinplate or aluminum can sizes (typically 300ml, 400ml, 600ml, or 750ml). Look for lithographic printing capabilities for brand artwork rather than paper labels. Advanced suppliers can also offer fragrance customization (e.g., lemon, lavender, or odorless) and specialized nozzles for targeted application in cracks and crevices.

Aerosols are restricted items. You must use specialized DG (Dangerous Goods) containers for sea freight. Ensure the supplier provides a Dangerous Goods Declaration and uses UN-certified outer cartons. Shipping costs are generally higher due to these safety requirements, so consolidating orders to full container loads (FCL) is more cost-effective than LCL.

Utilize Secured Trading Services provided by platforms like Made-in-China.com to ensure payment is only released upon proof of shipment. Conduct a factory audit or hire a third-party inspector (like SGS or Intertek) to perform a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI), specifically checking for can integrity, net weight accuracy, and valve functionality.

The most common issue is the mismatch between the chemical composition listed on the MSDS and the actual product. Ensure your customs broker has the HS Code (typically 3808.91) verified. Failure to provide a Pesticide Import/Export Registration Certificate in certain jurisdictions can lead to immediate seizure of goods. Always confirm the import permit requirements of your destination country before the vessel departs.

Pesticide demand is highly seasonal. Negotiate off-season production (winter months) to secure 10-15% lower pricing. Standard MOQs for custom-printed cans are usually 20,000 to 30,000 units due to the printing process; however, you can negotiate a staggered delivery schedule or ask the supplier to stock un-filled cans to reduce lead times for repeat orders.
