Airport check in counter manufacturers

For high-traffic environments, you should prioritize counters constructed with 304 stainless steel bases and high-pressure laminates (HPL) or artificial stone (solid surface) tops. These materials offer superior scratch resistance, impact durability, and ease of cleaning. Ensure the internal frame is made of galvanized steel to prevent corrosion and support the weight of integrated electronics.

The design must include integrated cable management systems and dedicated compartments for boarding pass printers, baggage tag printers, and industrial PCs. It is critical to verify that the counter dimensions allow for the seamless installation of baggage scales and conveyor belt interfaces. Request CAD drawings from the supplier to confirm the layout of cut-outs for monitors and keyboards.

Counters should adhere to ergonomic height standards (typically 750mm to 1100mm) to accommodate both seated and standing staff. Ensure the design includes rounded edges (radius corners) to prevent injury to passengers and staff. Compliance with UL 94 or equivalent fire-retardant standards for all interior materials is mandatory for airport safety certifications.

Yes, professional suppliers on Made-in-China.com offer extensive customization. This includes LED backlit logos, specific RAL color matching for powder coatings, and the integration of acrylic light boxes for signage. Ensure the supplier can provide 3D renderings for approval before the prototyping phase begins.

Airport counters are bulky and often contain fragile finishes. You must mandate seaworthy packaging, specifically fully enclosed plywood crates with internal foam cushioning and corner protectors. Avoid simple palletizing. It is highly recommended to purchase All-Risk Cargo Insurance and request the supplier to include shockwatch/tilt sensors on the crates to monitor handling.

Focus on the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) rather than just the unit price. Negotiate for a spare parts kit (e.g., extra hinges, drawer slides, and touch-up paint) to be included at no cost. For large projects, propose a staged payment plan: 30% deposit, 60% after third-party pre-shipment inspection (PSI), and 10% after successful installation or arrival at the destination port.

Since on-site installation by the manufacturer is often expensive for cross-border orders, require the supplier to provide detailed English installation manuals and high-definition video tutorials. Confirm if the supplier offers remote technical support via video call. Ensure all electrical components (power sockets, USB ports) are compliant with the voltage and plug standards of the destination country.

Given the size and complexity of airport furniture, CIF (Cost, Insurance, and Freight) or DAP (Delivered at Place) are often preferred for buyers who want the supplier to handle the complexities of international freight. However, if you have a reliable freight forwarder, FOB (Free on Board) provides better control over the shipping timeline and local port charges.
