Apricot juice puree price manufacturers

The primary price driver is the Brix level (typically 10-12% for single strength or 30-32% for concentrate). Buyers must also specify the Bostwick consistency (viscosity) to ensure it meets processing needs. High-quality puree should be cold-broken or hot-broken depending on the desired enzyme activity and color retention. Ensure the product is sieved through a 0.5mm to 0.8mm mesh to guarantee a smooth texture free from skin or stone fragments.

Suppliers must provide HACCP and ISO 22000 certifications to ensure food safety management. For specific markets, FDA registration (USA) or EFSA compliance (EU) is required. Additionally, verify that the product meets pesticide residue limits (MRLs) and is accompanied by a Phytosanitary Certificate and a Certificate of Analysis (COA) for every batch.

Aseptic packaging (typically 200kg drums or 20kg bag-in-box) is the industry standard as it allows for a shelf life of 12-24 months at ambient temperatures, significantly reducing cold-chain logistics costs. Ensure the supplier uses flash pasteurization (HTST) to preserve the natural apricot aroma, color, and nutritional profile, which prevents 'cooked' off-flavors that devalue the end product.

Apricot prices are highly seasonal; contracting during the harvest peak (June-August) usually secures the best rates. Buyers should evaluate the yield efficiency—puree with higher pulp content may have a higher unit price but reduces the need for thickeners in final formulations. Always request tiered pricing based on volume, as orders exceeding 1 FCL (Full Container Load) typically trigger significant discounts.

Request a pre-shipment inspection (PSI) by a third party like SGS or Intertek to verify Brix, pH, and acidity before the balance payment. Use Trade Assurance services on Made-in-China.com to secure your funds. Ensure the bill of lading specifies 'Keep Cool and Dry' even for aseptic goods to prevent thermal degradation of the puree's color.

Focus on long-term supply contracts rather than spot purchases to hedge against crop failure price spikes. Negotiate based on dry matter content (Brix)—if the Brix is lower than the spec upon arrival, the contract should allow for a pro-rata price deduction. Ask for free samples (500g-1kg) to conduct lab testing for heavy metals and patulin levels before signing.

Verify the HS Code (typically 2007 or 2009 series) to determine accurate import duties. Ensure all labels are in the destination country's language and include the production date, expiry date, and batch number. For shipping, 20ft containers are most common for drums; ensure the supplier uses heavy-duty pallets to prevent drum movement and leakage during sea freight.
