Bearing for travel motor manufacturers

When selecting bearings for travel motors (typically used in excavators or tracked vehicles), you must prioritize load capacity and precision. Ensure the bearing meets P6 or P5 precision grades to handle high-speed rotations and minimize vibration. The material should be high-carbon chromium steel (GCr15), heat-treated to a hardness of HRC 60-64 for maximum wear resistance. For heavy machinery, verify the dynamic load rating (Cr) and static load rating (Cor) against your motor's torque output to prevent premature fatigue failure.

Professional buyers should only source from manufacturers compliant with ISO 9001:2015 for quality management. For specific applications, look for ISO 492 (rolling bearings tolerances) and DIN 620 standards. If the travel motor operates in extreme environments, ensure the bearing has specialized sealing (such as 2RS or ZZ) to prevent the ingress of dust and moisture, and verify that the internal clearance (C3 or C4) is appropriate for thermal expansion during continuous operation.

Request a salt spray test report if the motor is used in coastal or humid environments to check corrosion resistance. You should also ask for vibration and noise testing (Z1, Z2, or Z3 levels); lower noise levels usually indicate better surface finishing and internal geometry. For high-stress travel motors, prioritize bearings with reinforced cages (brass or high-strength steel) rather than nylon, as they offer better stability under high temperatures and heavy impact loads.

Travel motor bearings are primarily used in the final drive of construction machinery like excavators, bulldozers, and cranes. Because these parts are subject to heavy radial and axial loads, they require high-pressure lubricants (EP grease). Maintenance intervals should be strictly followed, typically involving a grease change every 500-1000 operating hours to flush out metallic debris and ensure the longevity of the bearing races.

Counterfeiting is a major risk in the bearing industry. Always request a Certificate of Origin (CO) and a Material Mill Test Certificate. Use Made-in-China.com's 'Audited Supplier' reports to verify the factory's actual production capacity and equipment. Avoid deals that are significantly below market price, as these often involve re-manufactured or low-grade carbon steel disguised as high-quality chrome steel.

Focus on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) rather than just the unit price. Negotiate for extended warranties (12-24 months) and ask for tiered pricing based on annual volume. If you are a long-term buyer, negotiate for customized packaging (anti-rust paper and vacuum sealing) to ensure the product remains in perfect condition during long-distance sea freight.

Bearings are heavy and susceptible to rust. Ensure the supplier uses heavy-duty wooden crates (IPPC certified) and includes desiccant packs in every box. For transaction security, utilize Secured Trading Services on Made-in-China.com to ensure payment is only released after the goods pass a third-party pre-shipment inspection (PSI), which verifies the quantity and technical specifications.

Be aware of Anti-Dumping Duties (ADD) that some countries (like the US or EU) impose on specific types of bearings from China. Check your local HS Code (typically 8482 series) for the latest tariff rates. Ensure all documentation, including the Commercial Invoice and Packing List, accurately describes the bearing type and material to avoid customs delays or fines.
