Choosing the right material is critical for durability and realism. TPE (Thermoplastic Elastomer) is softer, more flexible, and generally more cost-effective, offering a lifelike skin texture; however, it is porous and requires regular powdering to prevent stickiness. Medical-grade Silicone is non-porous, easier to clean, and highly resistant to heat and aging, making it the premium choice for long-term hygiene and durability, though it is less stretchy than TPE.

The longevity of the product depends on the EVO or Stainless Steel skeleton. Buyers should ensure the doll features reinforced multi-axis joints that allow for a wide range of motion without compromising the outer material. High-quality skeletons should support standing functionality (integrated bolts in the feet) and be rated for at least 5,000+ articulation cycles to ensure the product remains functional for the end-user.

Safety is paramount due to prolonged skin contact. Products must comply with REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals) and RoHS standards to ensure they are free from harmful phthalates and heavy metals. For electronic components (heating or voice functions), CE and FCC certifications are required to ensure electrical safety and electromagnetic compatibility.

Professional sourcing involves looking for 3D skin texture technology and hand-painted detailing (veins, blushing, and manicures). Request unfiltered factory videos rather than rendered images. High-end models often feature implanted hair (eyebrows/pubic hair) rather than surface painting, and removable/washable vaginal inserts for improved hygiene and maintenance.

Regulations vary significantly by country. It is vital to use the correct HS Code (typically 3926.90 or 9503.00) and ensure the packaging is discreet and neutral to avoid unnecessary inspections. Some regions have strict 'decency' laws; always verify if the product's aesthetic features comply with the destination country's import policies regarding adult-themed goods to prevent seizure.

Due to the weight (often 30kg-50kg) and delicacy of the material, products should be shipped in reinforced, shock-absorbent wooden crates or heavy-duty double-corrugated boxes. To prevent 'flat spots' or permanent indentation during long-term transit, ensure the supplier uses suspended packaging or high-density foam molding. For large orders, Sea Freight (LCL/FCL) is most economical, but ensure the container is climate-controlled to avoid TPE oil leakage in high temperatures.

Always prioritize suppliers on Made-in-China.com who have undergone Audited Supplier status. Utilize Secured Trading Services to ensure payment is only released upon proof of shipment. For bulk orders, it is highly recommended to hire a third-party inspection service to perform a 'Pre-Shipment Inspection' (PSI) to check for skin tears, skeletal defects, or incorrect customization before the balance is paid.

Focus on MOQ flexibility and customization costs. Many factories allow for 'mix and match' (different heads on different bodies) at no extra charge for orders over 5 units. Negotiate for spare parts kits (repair glue, extra joints, cleaning tools) to be included in the unit price, which adds significant value to the after-sales service you provide to your customers.
