Bike rack fence manufacturers

When sourcing bike rack fences, prioritize Hot-Dip Galvanized Steel or 304/316 Stainless Steel to ensure maximum corrosion resistance, especially for outdoor or coastal environments. For aesthetic requirements, ensure Powder Coating meets ASTM D3359 standards for adhesion to prevent chipping. The tube wall thickness should be at least 2.0mm to 3.0mm to resist vandalism and structural deformation under heavy use.

For the US market, ensure the design is ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) compliant, allowing for easy access and clearance. In European markets, look for CE marking and adherence to EN 1090-1 for structural steel components. Additionally, verify that the welding process follows ISO 3834 standards to guarantee the safety and longevity of the joints.

The design must support 'Three-Point Contact' to stabilize the bicycle and allow the frame and at least one wheel to be locked using a U-lock. Avoid 'toast rack' designs that only hold the wheel, as they can cause rim damage. Ensure the spacing between racks is at least 36 inches (900mm) to allow for handlebars and pedals without entanglement.

There are two primary methods: Surface Mount (Bolt-down) and In-Ground (Embedded). Surface mounting is faster and cheaper for existing concrete surfaces, while In-Ground mounting provides superior theft resistance and stability for new construction or soft ground. For high-security areas, specify tamper-resistant nuts to prevent unauthorized removal.

Always request a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) by a third-party agency like SGS or Intertek. Specifically, ask for a Salt Spray Test report (minimum 48-96 hours) to verify the anti-rust capabilities of the coating. On Made-in-China.com, prioritize Audited Suppliers who have undergone comprehensive on-site verification of their manufacturing facilities.

Focus on Volume-Based Tiered Pricing; for orders exceeding 500 units, you can typically negotiate a 10-20% discount. Discuss packaging optimization—requesting 'knock-down' (KD) designs or stackable frames can significantly reduce ocean freight costs by increasing container utilization.

Utilize Secured Trading Services provided by platforms like Made-in-China.com to ensure your payment is only released after you confirm receipt of goods. For large orders, a standard payment term is 30% deposit and 70% against the Bill of Lading (B/L). Avoid wire transfers to private bank accounts; always use the company’s official corporate account.

Due to the weight and volume, LCL (Less than Container Load) can be expensive; try to consolidate orders into a 20GP or 40HQ container to lower the per-unit shipping cost. Ensure the supplier provides a detailed Packing List and Commercial Invoice with the correct HS Code (typically 7326.90) to avoid customs delays or incorrect duty applications.
