Byd spare parts factory manufacturers

When sourcing BYD components, you must distinguish between Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), Genuine Parts, and Aftermarket (IAM) parts. Genuine parts should come in official BYD packaging with anti-counterfeit QR codes that can be verified through the manufacturer's system. For critical components like Blade Battery modules or IGBT power semiconductors, request factory inspection reports and ensure the supplier has IATF 16949 certification, which is the global quality management standard for the automotive industry.

For electric models like the Han, Tang, or Atto 3, focus on thermal management systems and high-voltage safety. Ensure that cooling plates and electronic water pumps meet IP67 or IP6K9K waterproof ratings. If purchasing body parts, verify the material grade (high-strength steel vs. aluminum) to ensure crash safety compliance. For electronic control units (ECUs), confirm the firmware version compatibility with the specific vehicle's VIN to avoid software mismatch issues during installation.

Compliance varies by region: for the European Union, parts must often carry the E-mark (ECE R10 for electronics) and comply with REACH/RoHS directives. For the US market, lighting and glass components must meet DOT/SAE standards. Always ask the supplier for CE, FCC, or E-mark certification documents before shipment to prevent customs seizures or legal liabilities in the destination country.

To optimize costs, aim for Full Container Load (FCL) shipping to reduce the per-unit logistics cost, as automotive parts are often heavy or bulky. Negotiate a tiered pricing structure where a 10-15% discount is applied for orders exceeding 500 units per SKU. Additionally, prioritize suppliers on Made-in-China.com who offer consolidated shipping, allowing you to mix different categories (e.g., suspension, body panels, and filters) into one shipment to minimize port handling fees.

The primary risks include shipping damage to fragile components (like windshields or sensors) and incompatibility with regional vehicle variants. To mitigate this, require seaworthy packaging (wooden crates for heavy items) and provide the 17-digit VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) to the supplier for every order to ensure 100% fitment accuracy. Use Trade Assurance services on Made-in-China.com to protect your payment until the goods are verified.

Focus on long-term warranty terms rather than just the lowest price; a professional supplier should offer at least a 12-24 month warranty on mechanical parts. Inquire about their R&D capabilities—suppliers who can provide customized packaging or private labeling are usually more established. Request a sample for destructive testing (e.g., salt spray test for exterior trim) before committing to a large-scale contract.

BYD's lithium-ion batteries are classified as Class 9 Dangerous Goods. You must ensure the supplier provides a UN38.3 Test Report and an MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet). Shipping must be handled by a freight forwarder certified for DG (Dangerous Goods) handling. For standard parts, ensure the HS Codes are accurately declared (e.g., 8708 for tractor/motor vehicle parts) to avoid incorrect tariff applications or customs delays.
