Carved+bath+tub+price manufacturers

Carved bath tubs are typically crafted from natural stone (marble, granite, travertine) or high-end solid surfaces. Natural stone tubs are hand-carved from a single block, making them the most expensive due to material rarity and labor intensity. Solid surface options are more cost-effective and easier to maintain, though they lack the unique grain patterns of natural stone.

Buyers must verify the net weight versus floor load capacity, as stone tubs can exceed 500kg-1000kg. Ensure the drainage hole diameter matches international standards (typically 1.5 to 2 inches) and check for anti-slip floor treatments and overflow protection systems to meet safety requirements.

For the US market, look for CUPC (Uniform Plumbing Code) certification. For the EU, CE marking and compliance with EN 14516 (baths for domestic purposes) are mandatory. Additionally, ensure the supplier provides a Material Analysis Report to confirm the stone is free from harmful radiation or lead.

The price is heavily influenced by the complexity of the relief. Simple geometric carvings are standard, while intricate floral or baroque patterns require more artisan hours, increasing the price by 20-50%. Always request high-definition photos or 3D renderings before production to align on aesthetic expectations.

Due to their weight and fragility, tubs must be packed in fumigated solid wood crates with thick EPE foam padding and vacuum-sealed plastic wrap. Ensure the crate has reinforced steel strapping and a palletized base for forklift handling to prevent cracking during transit.

Always purchase All-Risk Marine Insurance covering 110% of the CIF value. Request the supplier to provide a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) report and photos of the loading process. For high-value carved items, using professional third-party inspectors like SGS or Intertek is highly recommended.

Focus on Total Landed Cost rather than just the unit price. Negotiate for spare parts (matching stone pop-up drains) or customized wooden crates included in the price. For bulk orders (e.g., hotel projects), leverage a staged payment plan (30% deposit, 70% against BL copy) to maintain cash flow and leverage.

Stone products may be subject to anti-dumping duties in certain regions. Verify the HS Code (typically 6802 for stone or 3922 for resin) with your customs broker. For shipping, choose FCL (Full Container Load) over LCL to minimize handling and reduce the risk of impact damage from other cargo.
