Cat 320d excavator price manufacturers

When sourcing a Cat 320d, the price is heavily influenced by operating hours, maintenance history, and component wear. Buyers should prioritize units with under 8,000 hours for long-term ROI. Key technical checks include the hydraulic pump pressure, engine blow-by levels, and the condition of the undercarriage (track links, rollers, and idlers). A well-maintained Cat 320d should feature a C6.4 ACERT engine that runs without excessive smoke and a hydraulic system that shows no signs of leaks or slow cycle times.

The Cat 320d is renowned for its fuel efficiency and digging force. Ensure the unit meets the standard operating weight of approximately 21,000 kg and a bucket capacity of 0.9 to 1.2 cubic meters. For high-altitude or heavy-duty rock applications, verify if the cooling system has been upgraded. Genuine Caterpillar parts availability is a major advantage, so confirm that the supplier can provide a parts manual and maintenance logs to ensure the machine meets original factory performance standards.

Compliance varies by destination. For the US and EU, verify EPA Tier 3 or Stage IIIA emission standards. Ensure the machine has a valid CE marking if importing to Europe. It is critical to request the Product Identification Number (PIN) to verify the machine's manufacture year and origin through the Caterpillar database to avoid counterfeit or stolen equipment risks.

To maximize value, calculate the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), including the purchase price, shipping, and immediate repair needs. Bulk discounts are often available if purchasing 3 or more units. Consider sourcing from verified gold suppliers on Made-in-China.com who offer third-party inspection services (like SGS or BV). Investing in a professional inspection before final payment can save up to 40% in unforeseen repair costs.

The primary risks include misrepresented machine hours (odometer tampering) and hidden structural cracks. To mitigate this, always request a live video inspection of the machine working under load. Use Secure Payment services provided by platforms like Made-in-China.com to ensure funds are only released after the bill of lading is verified.

Heavy excavators are typically shipped via Roll-on/Roll-off (RoRo) or Flat Rack containers. RoRo is generally safer for the machine's integrity, while Flat Rack may be necessary for specific routes. Ensure the supplier provides professional lashing and rust-proofing (wax coating) for sea transit to prevent corrosion during the 30-45 day voyage.

Focus the negotiation on wear-and-tear parts replacement. Instead of just asking for a lower price, negotiate for a new set of filters, a new bucket, or a 6-month warranty on major components (engine/pump). Suppliers are more likely to include spare parts packages than to drop the base price significantly.

Verify the Incoterms (usually FOB or CIF) clearly in the Proforma Invoice. Ensure the supplier provides a Certificate of Origin to help you benefit from potential Free Trade Agreements (FTA) which can reduce import duties. Always cross-reference the HS Code (84295212) with your local customs office to determine the exact tax liability before finalizing the deal.
