Chilled water chiller price manufacturers

The price is primarily driven by the cooling capacity (measured in kW or Tons) and the compressor type (Scroll, Screw, or Centrifugal). Buyers should verify the Energy Efficiency Ratio (EER) or Coefficient of Performance (COP), as high-efficiency units have a higher upfront cost but lower long-term operational expenses. Additionally, ensure the unit uses environmentally friendly refrigerants like R410A, R134a, or R32 to meet international environmental standards.

Water-cooled chillers generally offer higher efficiency but require additional investment in cooling towers and water pumps, whereas air-cooled chillers are more expensive as standalone units but easier to install. The inclusion of world-class components (e.g., Danfoss compressors, Schneider electrics, or Siemens PLC controllers) will increase the initial price but significantly improve reliability and lifespan.

To ensure quality and legal entry into markets, the chiller must hold CE certification for Europe or UL/AHRI certification for North America. For industrial applications, check for ISO 9001 quality management and pressure vessel certifications (like ASME) if the evaporator or condenser falls under local safety regulations. Explosion-proof ratings may be required for chemical or oil & gas environments, which will add a premium to the price.

For HVAC systems in commercial buildings, quiet operation and part-load efficiency are key. In industrial process cooling (e.g., plastic injection molding, laser cutting, or food processing), the chiller must handle variable heat loads and often requires a stainless steel water tank and pump to prevent corrosion. The price will vary based on whether the system needs to provide ultra-low temperature fluids (glycol systems) versus standard chilled water (7°C).

Always request a Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) video or a third-party inspection report (such as SGS or Intertek) before final payment. Ensure the supplier uses seaworthy wooden crate packaging with vacuum plastic wrapping to prevent moisture corrosion during sea transit. For high-value equipment, utilizing Trade Assurance services on Made-in-China.com provides a layer of financial security.

Chillers are heavy equipment; confirm the Gross Weight and dimensions to calculate accurate sea freight. Since these units often contain refrigerant gases, they are classified as dangerous goods (Class 2.2) in some jurisdictions; verify if the supplier ships the unit 'pre-charged' or 'nitrogen-charged'. Ensure the supplier provides a detailed installation manual and wiring diagrams in English, as on-site technician support from overseas can be prohibitively expensive.

Focus on the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) rather than just the unit price. Negotiate for a longer warranty period (e.g., 18-24 months) or the inclusion of critical spare parts (filters, sensors, gaskets) in the initial price. For bulk orders or long-term partnerships, ask for tiered pricing based on annual volume, and always clarify the Incoterms (FOB vs. CIF) to avoid hidden logistics fees.
