Chinese kino flo manufacturers

When sourcing these fixtures, prioritize High Color Rendering Index (CRI ≥ 95) and Television Lighting Consistency Index (TLCI ≥ 95) to ensure accurate skin tones. You must choose between Traditional Fluorescent (T12 tubes) and LED Retrofit versions. For LED versions, ensure they feature flicker-free dimming technology (high-frequency PWM) to prevent banding at high camera shutter speeds. Additionally, verify the ballast compatibility; professional units should support universal voltage (90-265V AC) for international use.

The housing should be constructed from high-impact polycarbonate or lightweight aluminum to withstand the rigors of set life. Check the locking mechanisms on the mounting plates (MTP-K41 style) to ensure they can hold the weight of the fixture at various angles. For the wiring, look for heavy-duty locking connectors (like 4-pin or 8-pin circular connectors) that prevent accidental disconnection during filming.

To ensure safety and legal entry, the fixtures and especially the electronic ballasts must carry CE, RoHS, or UL/ETL certifications. For the European market, LVD (Low Voltage Directive) and EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility) reports are essential to prove the device won't interfere with other electronic equipment on set. Always request test reports from accredited third-party labs rather than just taking the supplier's word.

These lights are primarily used for soft key lighting, fill lighting, or green screen illumination. Buyers should look for suppliers offering modular kits, including the fixture, 90-degree honeycombs (louvers), gel frames, and specialized transport cases. For maximum versatility, source Bi-color versions (3200K - 5600K) which allow for seamless transitions between tungsten and daylight environments without changing tubes.

Lighting equipment is fragile. You should mandate Double-Wall Corrugated Fiberboard packaging and internal custom-cut EPE foam padding. For bulk orders, insist on palletization with plastic wrap and edge protectors. It is highly recommended to purchase Marine/Cargo Insurance and use platforms like Made-in-China.com to verify the supplier's history of shipping sensitive electronics.

Focus on the component brand transparency. Negotiate by specifying the brand of internal components, such as Mean Well drivers or specific LED chip brands (e.g., Bridgelux or Epistar). Request a sample unit for photometric testing before placing a bulk order. For orders exceeding 50 units, aim for a 10-15% volume discount and negotiate for 2% spare parts (extra ballasts or tubes) to be included free of charge.

Utilize Secured Payment services provided by reputable B2B platforms to ensure funds are only released upon proof of shipment. Conduct a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) through a third-party agency to verify the Color Temperature stability and grounding safety of every unit. Ensure the Proforma Invoice (PI) explicitly states the warranty period—ideally 2 to 3 years for professional lighting gear.
