Condom sex toy manufacturers

When sourcing these products, the most vital factor is biocompatibility. Ensure the materials are medical-grade silicone, TPE, or natural latex that are phthalate-free and BPA-free. For condoms specifically, they must comply with ISO 4074 or ASTM D3492 standards. Always request Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) to verify that no toxic chemicals will leach during use.

Depending on the target market, you must verify specific certifications. For the USA, products often require FDA registration (especially if marketed as medical devices or contraceptives). For the European Union, a CE mark and compliance with RoHS (for electronic components) and REACH (for chemical substances) are mandatory. Products sold on Made-in-China.com often list these certifications; ensure you verify the validity of the certificate numbers.

For 'sleeve' style sex toys or textured condoms, evaluate the tensile strength and elongation at break. For electronic versions (vibrating rings/sleeves), check the IPX7 waterproof rating to ensure safety during cleaning. Request a cycle test report for motors to ensure they can withstand at least 50-100 hours of continuous operation without overheating or mechanical failure.

Due to the sensitive nature of the product, discreet packaging is essential. The outer cartons should not have explicit imagery or text. However, the inner retail packaging must include clear usage instructions, expiration dates (for latex items), and batch numbers for traceability. Ensure the supplier provides neutral labeling options to avoid customs delays related to 'obscene' material regulations in certain jurisdictions.

Always utilize Secured Trading Services provided by platforms like Made-in-China.com. Never pay via untraceable methods like Western Union for bulk orders. Use Escrow-based payments where funds are only released after you confirm the Bill of Lading (B/L) or a successful third-party pre-shipment inspection.

Customs in many countries (e.g., Middle East, parts of SE Asia) have strict decency laws. Ensure your HS Code classification (typically 4014.10 for condoms or 9019.10 for massage apparatus) is accurate. Avoid using provocative marketing terms on commercial invoices; instead, use technical terms like 'Personal Care Massager' or 'Latex Contraceptive' to facilitate smoother clearance.

For OEM/ODM projects, suppliers usually require an MOQ of 1,000–3,000 units. Negotiate a two-stage sampling process: first, a 'golden sample' for material feel, and second, a 'pre-production sample' with your branding. Demand a Quality Agreement that specifies a Maximum Acceptable Quality Level (AQL 1.5 or 2.5) before placing a deposit.

For high-volume, low-weight items like condoms, Sea Freight (LCL) is most economical, but for electronic sex toys with lithium batteries, you must use specialized air couriers that handle Dangerous Goods (DG). Ensure the supplier provides a UN38.3 test report for batteries to avoid shipment rejection at the airport.
