Cooler bag for frozen food manufacturers

To maintain frozen temperatures, prioritize bags with high-density EPE foam (at least 5mm-8mm thickness) or closed-cell foam insulation. The inner lining should be made of food-grade PEVA or aluminum foil with heat-welded seams (leak-proof technology) rather than stitched seams to prevent cold air leakage and moisture penetration.

For B2B sourcing, select 600D or 900D Oxford polyester or heavy-duty TPU-coated nylon. These materials offer superior abrasion resistance, water-repellency, and tear strength, ensuring the bag can withstand the rigors of last-mile delivery or frequent transport.

Ensure the supplier provides certifications such as FDA (U.S.) or LFGB (EU) for the inner lining materials. Additionally, the product should be BPA-free and Phthalate-free. For international markets, check for REACH compliance to ensure no hazardous chemicals are used in the dyes or plastics.

Request test reports for handle reinforcement (cross-stitching or rivet reinforcement). A professional-grade cooler bag should support at least 15-20kg without structural failure. Look for YKK or heavy-duty waterproof zippers to ensure the closure remains functional under the internal pressure of frozen goods.

Always request a pre-shipment inspection (PSI) by a third-party agency. Focus on the insulation duration test (e.g., measuring temperature drop over 12-24 hours) and leakage tests. Utilizing Made-in-China.com's Secured Trading services can provide an extra layer of payment protection until the goods pass inspection.

Negotiate based on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) rather than just the unit price. Discuss MOQ flexibility for customized logos and ask for tiered pricing (e.g., 500, 2000, and 5000 units). Requesting a sample fee rebate upon the placement of a bulk order is a standard industry practice to reduce initial costs.

Since cooler bags are relatively lightweight but bulky, Sea Freight (LCL or FCL) is the most economical for large orders. To optimize costs, ask the supplier to vacuum-pack or flat-pack the bags to reduce the volumetric weight. For urgent restocks, Sea-Air combined transport offers a balance between speed and cost.
