Cotton mosquito net fabric manufacturers

When evaluating cotton mosquito net fabric, the most critical factor is the mesh density (holes per square inch). For effective protection against mosquitoes, a density of 156 to 200 holes per square inch is standard. Additionally, verify the yarn count (typically 32s or 40s) to ensure the fabric is lightweight yet durable. The bursting strength should be tested to ensure the natural cotton fibers can withstand daily tension without tearing.

Cotton is highly breathable and offers superior air circulation compared to polyester, making it ideal for hot and humid climates. It is a natural, hypoallergenic material, which is a significant selling point for eco-conscious markets or sensitive skin applications. However, buyers must note that cotton has higher shrinkage rates (usually 5-10%) and requires pre-shrinking treatments during manufacturing to maintain dimensional stability.

For textile products, OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 is essential to certify that the fabric is free from harmful chemicals. If the fabric is marketed as organic, a GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) certificate is required. For the US market, ensure compliance with CPSIA regarding lead content and phthalates if used in children's bedding, and verify flammability ratings (e.g., 16 CFR Part 1610).

Beyond traditional bed canopies, cotton netting is widely used in baby crib covers, eco-friendly produce bags, and luxury home decor. In the B2B sector, it is often sourced for glamping tent interiors and outdoor patio screening where a premium, matte aesthetic is preferred over the shiny finish of synthetic mesh.

Always request a pre-production sample (PPS) and a shipping sample from the same batch. Utilize third-party inspection services (like V-Trust or QIMA) to perform a During Production Check (DUPRO) to verify mesh consistency and colorfastness. Ensure the supplier is a Gold Member or Audited Supplier on Made-in-China.com to guarantee business legitimacy.

Negotiate based on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) rather than just the unit price. Ask for tiered pricing based on volume (e.g., 1,000m vs. 5,000m). If you are a repeat buyer, negotiate for flexible payment terms such as Net 30 days after a successful initial transaction. Also, clarify who bears the cost of fabric wastage during the cutting process.

Cotton is highly susceptible to moisture and mold during long-sea transit. Insist that the supplier uses double-layer packaging (inner PE bag + outer woven bag) and includes desiccant silica gel packs inside the rolls. For shipping to the US or Europe, choose FOB (Free On Board) terms to maintain control over your freight forwarder and avoid hidden destination charges.

Use Secured Trading services provided by platforms like Made-in-China.com to protect your payment until the goods are shipped. Avoid making full payments via wire transfer to private accounts; always use corporate accounts verified by the platform. Ensure the Proforma Invoice (PI) clearly states the mesh density, weight (GSM), and shrinkage tolerance to provide legal recourse in case of disputes.
