Dubai women abaya manufacturers

When sourcing Dubai Abayas, the fabric choice determines both the price point and the target market. Nida fabric (especially Korean Nida) is the industry standard for its smoothness, durability, and cooling properties. For premium luxury lines, look for Crey or Lexus crepe, which offer a heavier drape and matte finish. For summer collections, chiffon or linen blends are preferred. Ensure the supplier provides the GSM (Grams per Square Meter) to verify fabric thickness and prevent transparency issues.

Dubai Abayas are famous for their intricate details. You must verify the attachment method of crystals (e.g., hot-fix vs. hand-sewn); high-end garments should use genuine Swarovski or high-grade AAA zircon stones that do not lose luster. For embroidery, check the stitch density and the backing material to ensure it doesn't irritate the skin. Request a close-up video or a physical sample to inspect for loose threads or uneven beadwork, which are common signs of low-quality mass production.

Abaya sizing is typically based on length in inches (e.g., size 52 to 60) rather than standard S/M/L. However, you must clarify the bust and sleeve measurements, as 'Dubai Fit' is traditionally oversized and loose. If you are selling to Western markets, you may need to request customized 'Slim Fit' or 'A-line' patterns. Always ask for a detailed size chart and confirm if the measurements refer to the garment itself or the body size it is intended to fit.

Ensure all products comply with textile labeling regulations of the destination country, such as the FTC requirements in the U.S. or REACH regulations in the EU. Labels must clearly state fiber content, country of origin, and care instructions (e.g., 'Dry Clean Only' for beaded items). Additionally, verify that the dyes used are Azo-free to meet international safety standards for skin contact.

This is a common risk in the garment industry. To protect yourself, use a third-party inspection service (like those offered through Made-in-China.com) to conduct a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI). Specify in your contract that the bulk production must match the approved 'Golden Sample' in terms of fabric weight, color shade (Pantone matching), and embroidery quality. Retain a portion of the payment until the inspection report is cleared.

Focus on MOQ (Minimum Order Quantity) flexibility rather than just the lowest price. Many Dubai-style manufacturers allow mixed designs or colors within a single MOQ (e.g., 100 pieces across 5 styles). Negotiate for inclusive pricing that includes matching Shaylas (headscarves) and belts, as sourcing these separately increases logistics costs and risks color mismatch.

Abayas with heavy beadwork or delicate fabrics are prone to crushing and snagging. Insist on individual polybag packaging and the use of moisture-absorbent silica gel packets to prevent mildew during sea freight. For high-value luxury Abayas, hanging garment containers (GOH) are recommended, though standard corrugated boxes with reinforced corners are sufficient for most bulk shipments if packed correctly.

Always conduct transactions through secure payment portals that offer buyer protection. Avoid direct wire transfers to unverified personal accounts. Utilize Escrow-based services where the funds are only released to the supplier once you provide proof of shipping (Bill of Lading) or after a successful quality check. Prioritize suppliers on Made-in-China.com who have 'Audited Supplier' status to ensure they have physical factory premises.
