Electrophoresis machine price manufacturers

When comparing prices, focus on the Power Supply stability, Voltage/Current range (e.g., 0-300V for DNA or higher for proteins), and Number of output channels. A higher price often reflects microprocessor-controlled precision, LCD digital displays, and safety features like automatic leak detection and over-voltage protection. Ensure the unit includes or is compatible with high-quality casting trays and combs made of heat-resistant materials to prevent warping.

For laboratory and medical use, compliance is non-negotiable. Machines with CE, ISO 13485 (Medical Devices), and UL certifications will carry a premium price but ensure safety and international laboratory standards. If you are sourcing for a clinical environment, verify if the supplier provides IQ/OQ/PQ documentation, which is essential for regulatory audits and may be factored into the total procurement cost.

Integrated systems (power supply and tank in one) are often more cost-effective for educational purposes or basic routine testing. However, for professional B2B buyers, modular systems (separate power supply and tanks) offer better long-term value. While the initial investment is higher, modularity allows for easier maintenance, scalability, and the ability to run multiple types of gels (horizontal and vertical) using a single high-capacity power supply.

Price tiers are strictly divided by application: Basic Horizontal Systems for DNA/RNA analysis are the most affordable. Vertical Systems for protein analysis (SDS-PAGE) are mid-range due to complex assembly. High-throughput systems or those designed for 2D Electrophoresis represent the high-end tier, requiring advanced cooling mechanisms and high-voltage precision to handle complex proteomic separations.

The main risks include damage to fragile components (like platinum electrodes or acrylic tanks) during transit and voltage incompatibility. Always confirm the input voltage (110V vs 220V) and plug type before shipping. To mitigate risk, use Made-in-China.com's Secured Trading services to ensure the product meets specifications before the final payment is released.

Focus on the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). Negotiate for spare parts kits (extra gaskets, platinum wires, or combs) to be included in the bulk price. For orders exceeding 10 units, request a 15-20% discount or ask the supplier to cover the cost of third-party pre-shipment inspections to ensure quality consistency across the batch.

For high-precision electrophoresis power supplies, Air Freight is recommended to minimize prolonged exposure to humidity and mechanical vibration found in sea freight. Ensure the supplier uses double-walled corrugated boxes with custom foam inserts. For large-scale laboratory setups, LCL (Less than Container Load) with professional palletizing and 'Fragile' labeling is necessary to prevent stacking damage.

Prioritize Audited Suppliers on Made-in-China.com who have undergone on-site verification. Request a video factory audit to see the machines in operation. Always clarify the warranty period (ideally 12-24 months) and ensure the supplier provides English-language technical manuals and remote video support for troubleshooting to avoid costly downtime.
