Football grass price manufacturers

The price of football grass is primarily driven by pile height (typically 40mm to 60mm), DTEX (yarn weight), and gauge (distance between rows). For professional football, a DTEX of 8,000 to 12,000 is recommended to ensure durability. Additionally, the tuft density (number of stitches per square meter) significantly impacts the 'feel' and ball roll; higher density usually commands a higher price but offers a longer lifespan of 8-10 years.

To ensure safety and performance, prioritize suppliers whose products meet FIFA Quality or FIFA Quality Pro standards. Essential certifications include ISO 9001 for manufacturing quality, ISO 14001 for environmental management, and SGS/Labosport reports for UV resistance and wear testing. For safety, ensure the grass is lead-free and flame retardant according to regional building codes.

The backing should ideally be a triple-layer system (PP + Net + SBR Latex or PU) to prevent yarn withdrawal. Regarding yarn shape, 'S', 'W', or 'Stem' shaped fibers offer better resilience and upright memory compared to flat fibers, reducing the frequency of maintenance and infill brushing. While these shapes may increase the initial Football Grass Price, they provide a higher ROI through reduced maintenance costs.

For professional stadiums, a high-end monofilament grass with SBR, TPE, or EPDM granule infill is required for shock absorption. For community or school pitches, a mid-range fibrillated grass may suffice. If you are looking for non-infill grass, the price per square meter will be higher due to the increased density and curly thatch fibers required to support the blades without sand or rubber.

Always request a physical sample (approx. 30x30cm) before placing a bulk order to verify the color, pile height, and backing strength. Utilize third-party inspection services (like V-Trust or SGS) to conduct a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) to verify that the DTEX and stitch rate match the pro-forma invoice. Sourcing through reputable platforms like Made-in-China.com allows you to check the supplier's 'Audit Reports' and 'Diamond Member' status.

Negotiate based on Total Square Meters (SQM); prices typically drop significantly for orders exceeding 5,000 SQM (a standard full pitch). Ask for 'Full System' pricing—suppliers often provide better discounts if you purchase the seaming tape, glue, and shock pads from them as a bundle. Also, clarify the warranty terms, ensuring it covers UV degradation and fiber loss for at least 5-8 years.

Football grass is heavy and bulky, usually shipped in 4-meter wide rolls. Ensure your local port can handle such dimensions and confirm the HS Code (usually 570330) to calculate import duties accurately. To optimize shipping costs, calculate the container loadability; a 40HQ container typically holds 4,500 to 5,500 SQM of 50mm grass depending on the density.

Use Secured Trading Services provided by Made-in-China.com to ensure your payment is only released after the supplier provides proof of shipment. Avoid using high-risk payment methods for large deposits; a standard 30% T/T deposit and 70% against the Bill of Lading (B/L) copy is the industry norm for reliable cross-border transactions.
