Gas station price manufacturers

When sourcing LED price signs, prioritize high-brightness LEDs (at least 5000 nits) to ensure visibility under direct sunlight. The digit height should be chosen based on the speed limit of the adjacent road (e.g., 12-inch digits for 40mph, 24-inch for highways). Ensure the signs use constant current driving circuits to prevent flickering and extend the lifespan of the LEDs to over 100,000 hours.

Verify that the enclosure has an IP65 or higher waterproof rating to protect against rain and dust. The cabinet should be constructed from powder-coated aluminum or galvanized steel to prevent rust. Additionally, request UV-resistant polycarbonate masks for the digits to prevent yellowing and cracking over time due to sun exposure.

Look for signs that support RF remote control (up to 100m range) for manual updates and RS232/RS485 or TCP/IP interfaces for automated integration. Top-tier suppliers on Made-in-China.com offer compatibility with major Point of Sale (POS) systems like Gilbarco or Wayne, allowing price changes at the pump to reflect automatically on the sign.

For the North American market, ensure the product is UL or ETL listed and complies with FCC Part 15 for electromagnetic interference. For the European market, CE (LVD/EMC) and RoHS certifications are mandatory. Always confirm that the power supply (Mean Well brand is recommended) supports the local voltage (110V vs 220V) and carries its own safety certifications.

LED signs are fragile. Insist on wooden crate packaging with shock-absorption foam rather than standard cardboard boxes. Before the final payment, request a video of the 'aging test' (where the sign runs for 48-72 hours) and a waterproof test video. Consider using Trade Assurance services on Made-in-China.com to protect your payment until the goods are verified.

Focus on the LED chip brand (e.g., Cree, Epistar, or Silan) and the warranty period rather than just the unit price. A lower price often means lower-quality capacitors that fail in heat. Negotiate for 2-5% spare parts (LED modules, power supplies, and cables) to be included in the shipment to handle immediate repairs without waiting for international shipping.

Due to the size and weight, Sea Freight (LCL or FCL) is the most economical method. Ensure the supplier provides the correct HS Code (typically 8531200000) to avoid customs delays. Be aware of anti-dumping duties that some countries apply to Chinese aluminum or LED products; consult a local customs broker to calculate the Total Landed Cost before placing a bulk order.

Since the supplier is overseas, request detailed English installation manuals and wiring diagrams in advance. Choose suppliers who provide remote technical support via video call. Confirm if the modules are front-serviceable or rear-serviceable; front-serviceable designs are highly recommended as they significantly reduce maintenance costs by eliminating the need to dismantle the entire structure.
