Glass sliding door for refrigerator manufacturers

Buyers should prioritize Low-E (Low Emissivity) tempered glass to minimize heat transfer and prevent condensation. The glass should be double or triple-glazed with argon gas filling for optimal thermal insulation. For the frame, anodized aluminum or PVC is preferred for durability and corrosion resistance. Ensure the sliding mechanism uses high-quality rollers and self-closing systems to maintain energy efficiency in high-traffic retail environments.

For international trade, the glass must meet safety glass certifications such as ASTM C1048 (USA) or EN 12150 (EU). Since these are components for electrical appliances, the assembly should align with RoHS and REACH standards to ensure no hazardous substances are present. For energy efficiency, look for products that help the final refrigerator achieve ENERGY STAR or ERP (Energy-related Products) compliance.

To prevent visibility issues, specify heated glass (ITO coating) which uses a low-voltage electrical current to keep the surface clear in high-humidity conditions. Alternatively, request anti-fog chemical coatings. Verify the performance by asking for environmental chamber test reports that simulate temperature differentials between the cabinet interior (-18°C to 5°C) and the external ambient temperature.

Most professional manufacturers on Made-in-China.com offer customization for dimensions (width/height), glass thickness (typically 3.2mm or 4mm), and frame colors. You can also request integrated LED lighting within the frame and silk-screen printing for branding. For security, specify lockable handle designs for display coolers used in public spaces.

The biggest risk is breakage during transit. You must mandate seaworthy packaging, specifically fumigated wooden crates with EPE foam buffers between each glass panel. Ensure the supplier uses moisture-proof desiccants inside the packaging to prevent glass oxidation (clouding) during long sea voyages. It is highly recommended to purchase All-Risk Marine Insurance for every shipment.

Start by requesting a sample for destructive testing and thermal performance verification. In your contract, define a clear AQL (Acceptable Quality Level) for defects like bubbles, scratches, or seal failures. Negotiate a warranty period of at least 12-24 months, and insist on a spare parts allowance (typically 1-2%) for rollers and gaskets to be included in the bulk container at no extra cost.

Always use Secured Trading Services provided by Made-in-China.com to protect your payment until the goods are shipped. Conduct a third-party factory audit before placing large orders to verify the supplier's production capacity and QC equipment. For payment, a standard 30% deposit and 70% against the Bill of Lading (B/L) is common, but consider Letter of Credit (L/C) for very large volume contracts to mitigate financial risk.

Due to the weight and fragility, FCL (Full Container Load) is significantly safer than LCL (Less than Container Load) as it reduces handling. If you are shipping to the US or EU, ensure the supplier provides the ISF (Importer Security Filing) timely and check for any anti-dumping duties on Chinese aluminum profiles or glass products in your specific region to avoid unexpected customs costs.
