Hair rebonding products manufacturers

The primary active ingredient is usually Ammonium Thioglycolate (ATG), which breaks the disulfide bonds in the hair. You must verify the pH level (typically between 9.0 and 9.5 for the relaxer) and ensure the presence of conditioning agents like keratin, collagen, or argan oil to minimize structural damage during the chemical process.

Suppliers must provide MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) for chemical stability and transport safety. For market entry, ensure compliance with GMPC (Good Manufacturing Practice for Cosmetics) and ISO 22716. If exporting to the EU, CPNP registration is required; for the US, products should align with FDA cosmetic labeling regulations.

Selection depends on the hair porosity and texture. Strong formulas have higher alkaline concentrations for resistant, virgin, or coarse hair. Normal formulas are for medium-textured hair, while Sensitive/Damaged formulas contain lower chemical concentrations and higher protein protection for previously colored or chemically treated hair.

Evaluate the processing time (ideally 15–30 minutes), the viscosity of the cream (it should not drip), and the neutralization efficiency. Post-treatment, the hair should exhibit high tensile strength and a glossy finish without excessive dryness or 'straw-like' texture.

Hair rebonding products are classified as liquid chemicals, which may be flagged as 'sensitive goods' by carriers. You must ensure the supplier provides a Certificate for Safe Transport of Chemical Goods. Use leak-proof vacuum sealing and reinforced outer packaging to prevent rupture during high-pressure air transit or long-term sea freight.

Request a pre-shipment inspection (PSI) and ask for a batch-specific COA (Certificate of Analysis). Negotiate a staggered payment term (e.g., 30% deposit, 70% after third-party quality verification). Clearly define the shelf-life requirements in the contract; professional hair chemicals should have at least 24–36 months of remaining shelf life upon arrival.

Be aware of import duties and cosmetic taxes which vary significantly by country. Some regions require a Local Representative or Agent to hold the product notification. Always check if your country has specific prohibited ingredient lists (e.g., certain formaldehyde-releasing preservatives) to avoid customs seizure.

Prioritize Audited Suppliers on Made-in-China.com who have undergone on-site factory inspections. Check their R&D capabilities—top-tier manufacturers usually have their own labs and offer OEM/ODM customization for scent, packaging, and formula potency to suit your local market preferences.
