Herbicide paraquat price manufacturers

When sourcing Paraquat, the most critical factor is the active ingredient concentration, typically available as 20% SL (Soluble Liquid) or 42% Technical Grade. You must verify the emulsification stability and cold storage stability to ensure the product remains effective after long-term transport. High-quality Paraquat should include an effective emetic (vomit-inducing agent), a stinking agent, and blue/green coloring as safety markers to prevent accidental ingestion.

Paraquat is a highly restricted substance globally. You must ensure the supplier possesses a valid Pesticide Export Qualification and provides a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS). Buyers must verify if their target country allows the import of Paraquat, as it is banned in the EU, China (for domestic use), and several other regions. Always request a Certificate of Analysis (COA) for every batch to ensure it meets FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization) standards.

The price is primarily driven by the cost of raw materials (Pyridine) and environmental protection taxes imposed on manufacturers. Bulk pricing is highly sensitive to volume; orders exceeding 20,000 Liters (1 Full Container Load) typically see a 10-15% discount. Additionally, the packaging type (e.g., 1L bottles vs. 200L drums) significantly impacts the final quote due to labor and material costs.

Paraquat is a non-selective contact herbicide, meaning it kills green plant tissue on contact. It is ideal for no-till farming, rubber plantations, and orchards because it becomes inactivated upon contact with soil, leaving no residual toxicity for subsequent crops. Ensure the formulation has rapid rain-fastness, typically becoming effective within 30 minutes of application.

Paraquat is classified as a Class 6.1 Toxic Substance under the IMDG Code. It requires UN-approved hazardous goods packaging and must be shipped via specialized chemical logistics providers. You must ensure the supplier can provide a Dangerous Goods (DG) Certificate for sea freight. Failure to declare hazardous materials can lead to heavy fines or seizure by customs.

Use Made-in-China.com's Secured Trading services to protect your payment. Never pay 100% upfront; a standard industry practice is 30% deposit and 70% against the Bill of Lading (B/L). Conduct a third-party factory audit (such as SGS or Intertek) to verify the supplier's production capacity and safety certifications before placing a large order.

The most common pitfall is ignoring import permit requirements. Many countries require a Pesticide Registration Certificate issued by their local Ministry of Agriculture. Ensure your supplier can provide registration support documents (ICAMA). Without these, the goods will be blocked at the port of entry, leading to high demurrage charges.
