Hoodies for women manufacturers

When sourcing hoodies, prioritize fabric weight (GSM); a standard mid-weight hoodie should be between 280-350 GSM, while heavyweight premium options exceed 400 GSM. Look for material blends like 80% cotton and 20% polyester to balance breathability with durability and shrink resistance. For eco-conscious brands, ensure the supplier provides GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) or GRS (Global Recycled Standard) certifications.

Focus on the stitching techniques; high-quality hoodies utilize flatlock or twin-needle stitching at the armholes, cuffs, and waistband to prevent fraying. Check the inner lining, such as brushed fleece for warmth or French terry for moisture-wicking properties. Additionally, verify that the zippers (if applicable) are YKK brand or equivalent high-tensile strength hardware to ensure longevity.

For the US market, products must comply with CPSIA (Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act) regarding lead content and phthalates, especially for drawstrings and prints. For the EU, adherence to REACH regulations is mandatory to ensure no harmful chemicals are used in the dyes. Always request a Certificate of Compliance (CoC) and lab test reports for colorfastness and formaldehyde levels.

Professional suppliers on Made-in-China.com typically offer OEM/ODM services. You should inquire about printing methods (Screen printing, DTG, or Heat Transfer) and embroidery density. Ensure the supplier can handle custom woven labels, tech packs, and private labeling to build brand identity. Ask for size charts that align with your target market (Asian vs. US/EU sizing) to avoid fitment issues.

Always implement a three-step quality control process: first, request a pre-production sample (PPS) for approval; second, hire a third-party inspection agency (like SGS or Intertek) to perform an During Production Check (DUPRO); and third, conduct a Final Random Inspection (FRI) before the balance payment is settled.

Focus on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) rather than just the unit price. Negotiate based on volume tiers (e.g., 500, 1000, 5000 units) and ask for favorable payment terms such as a 30% deposit and 70% against the Bill of Lading (B/L). Mention your long-term partnership potential to secure lower MOQs for new designs.

For small trial orders, Air Express (DHL/FedEx) is fastest but expensive. For bulk commercial orders, Sea Freight (LCL or FCL) is the most economical. If you are shipping to the US or Europe, consider DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) terms if you want the supplier to handle all customs clearances and duties, reducing your operational complexity.

Utilize the Secured Trading Service provided by Made-in-China.com to protect your payments. Never transfer funds to private bank accounts; always ensure the account name matches the registered company name on the platform. Verify the supplier's Audit Report and 'Diamond Member' status to confirm their business legitimacy.
