I phone 5 price manufacturers

The iPhone 5 is considered a legacy device and is no longer in active production by Apple. In the B2B cross-border market, it is primarily available as Refurbished (Grade A/B/C), Used, or New Old Stock (NOS). Buyers should focus on the secondary electronics market where these devices are often sold in bulk for specific use cases like testing, basic communication, or parts salvage.

Buyers must confirm the battery health capacity (should be above 80% for refurbished units) and the network compatibility. The iPhone 5 supports 4G LTE, but you must verify if the specific model (A1428 or A1429) matches the frequency bands of your target country. Additionally, ensure the devices are factory unlocked and have no iCloud activation locks.

Ensure the supplier provides CE or FCC certifications relevant to the original manufacturing. For cross-border trade, the most critical compliance is UN38.3 for lithium battery safety during air freight. You should also request a PhoneCheck or NSYS diagnostic report to verify that all hardware components (screen, buttons, camera) are fully functional.

The price is highly sensitive to cosmetic grading. Grade A (Like New) units command a premium, while Grade C (Visible Scratches) are significantly cheaper. For bulk orders exceeding 100 units, buyers can typically negotiate a 10-15% discount. Always ask for a tiered pricing structure based on the quantity and the inclusion of accessories (OEM vs. aftermarket chargers).

Implement a strict inspection clause in your contract. Use a third-party inspection service to conduct a random sampling (AQL standard) before the balance payment is made. Ensure the supplier offers a warranty period of at least 90 to 180 days for refurbished electronics.

Shipping lithium batteries is regulated under Dangerous Goods (DG) protocols. Ensure your freight forwarder is experienced in Class 9 hazardous materials handling. For cost-efficiency, sea freight is cheaper for large volumes, but air express (DHL/FedEx) is safer for high-value electronics to minimize transit time and humidity exposure.

Always communicate through the official messaging system and use Secured Trading Services provided by the platform. Avoid direct wire transfers to private accounts. Request a Proforma Invoice (PI) that clearly states the grading criteria, return policy, and lead time.

Be aware of e-waste regulations in your country; some regions have strict bans on importing used electronics to prevent environmental dumping. Check the HS Code (typically 851713) for specific import duties and VAT rates to calculate your total landed cost accurately.
