Iron clothes hanger manufacturers

When sourcing iron hangers, prioritize high-carbon steel or wrought iron for structural integrity. Ensure the wire diameter is at least 3.0mm to 4.0mm for standard use, while heavy-duty coats require 4.5mm+. The surface treatment is critical; look for electroplating (chrome or rose gold) or powder coating to prevent oxidation. A high-quality finish must pass a 24-hour salt spray test to ensure rust resistance in humid environments.

Evaluate the hook neck reinforcement and the smoothness of the welding points to prevent snagging delicate fabrics. For space-saving needs, select ultra-slim profiles (0.5cm thickness). For heavy garments like suits or coats, ensure the hanger features contoured shoulders and a non-slip PVC or silicone coating on the pant bar. A professional-grade iron hanger should support a static load of at least 5kg to 10kg without deforming.

For the US market, ensure compliance with CPSIA regarding lead content in coatings. For the EU, materials must adhere to REACH regulations to ensure no harmful chemicals (like phthalates in PVC coatings) are present. If the hangers include wooden components, FSC certification is recommended. Always request a Third-Party Inspection Report (e.g., SGS or Intertek) to verify coating adhesion and chemical safety.

Iron hangers are widely used in high-end fashion retail, 5-star hotels, and industrial laundry services. Customization options include laser-engraved logos, custom color matching (Pantone), and specialized hook shapes (e.g., anti-theft hooks for hotels). For e-commerce sellers, customized branding on the neck or specialized retail packaging (sets of 10/20) can significantly increase the perceived value.

Iron products are highly susceptible to moisture. Insist that the supplier uses anti-rust oil or VCI (Vapor Corrosion Inhibitor) paper for bulk packing. Each master carton should contain desiccant silica gel packets. Ensure the outer cartons are 5-layer corrugated fiberboard with a bursting strength certificate to prevent crushing, which can chip the protective coating and lead to rapid corrosion.

Focus on Tiered Pricing based on raw material weight rather than just unit count, as steel prices fluctuate. Request a Gold Member or Audited Supplier status verification on Made-in-China.com to ensure factory legitimacy. Negotiate a sample rebate policy where the cost of the initial prototype is deducted from the first mass production order. For long-term partnerships, aim for a 30% deposit and 70% balance against the Bill of Lading (B/L).

Always utilize Secured Trading Services provided by platforms like Made-in-China.com to protect your payment until shipping documents are verified. Conduct a Pre-shipment Inspection (PSI) to check the coating thickness and quantity accuracy. Never wire funds to private bank accounts; ensure the beneficiary name matches the company name on the business license and the platform profile.

Be aware of Anti-dumping duties that some regions (like the EU or USA) may impose on specific steel products from China. Check the HS Code (typically 7323.99 or 7326.90) to determine exact tariff rates. For shipping, Full Container Load (FCL) is most cost-effective for hangers due to their weight-to-volume ratio. If shipping Less than Container Load (LCL), ensure the goods are palletized to minimize handling damage at transshipment hubs.
