Mineral water glass bottle manufacturers

Buyers should prioritize High Borosilicate glass or Super Flint glass for maximum clarity and brilliance. Ensure the glass is lead-free and BPA-free to maintain water purity. For carbonated mineral water, the bottle must have a pressure resistance rating of at least 10-12 bar to prevent bursting during transit or storage.

Products must comply with FDA (US) or EC 1935/2004 (EU) regulations for food contact materials. It is essential to request SGS or Intertek lab reports verifying that heavy metal migration (lead and cadmium) is within safe limits. For the US market, ensure compliance with California Proposition 65 if the bottles feature external decorations or printing.

The bottleneck finish must adhere to international standards like GPI or GME to ensure a leak-proof seal with caps. Whether using screw caps, crown corks, or swing-tops, the seal must pass a vacuum leak test. For premium brands, consider tamper-evident closures to guarantee product integrity to the end consumer.

Common techniques include acid frosting, silk-screen printing, hot stamping (gold/silver), and decal application. For a premium look, embossing or debossing the logo directly into the glass mold is recommended, though this requires a higher initial tooling cost (Mold Fee). Ensure the inks used are organic and dishwasher-safe.

Request 5-layer corrugated export cartons with individual cell dividers. For bulk shipments, palletization with plastic wrap and corner protectors is mandatory. You should negotiate a breakage allowance (usually 2-3%) in the contract; if breakage exceeds this, the supplier should provide replacements or credit in the next order.

Focus on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) rather than just the unit price. Ask for a breakdown of mold costs vs. unit price; often, increasing the order volume can amortize the mold fee to zero. Always verify if the supplier is an Audited Supplier on Made-in-China.com to ensure factory legitimacy and production capacity.

Use Secure Payment services or Letter of Credit (L/C) for large transactions. Never pay 100% upfront; a standard 30% deposit and 70% balance against the Bill of Lading (B/L) is common. Hire a third-party inspection agency (like V-Trust or QIMA) to perform a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) to check for bubbles, cracks, and dimensional accuracy before the final payment.

Be aware of Anti-dumping duties that some regions (like the EU or USA) may impose on Chinese glassware. Check the HS Code (typically 7010.90) against your country's tariff schedule. Ensure the supplier provides a Certificate of Origin (CO) to help you benefit from any applicable Free Trade Agreements (FTAs).
