Name brand clothing price manufacturers

Authenticity is the most critical factor. Buyers must request official authorization letters or brand licensing agreements from the supplier. It is essential to verify the Legal Representative of the company and check if they are an authorized distributor or OEM manufacturer. For high-end brands, look for security labels, holographic tags, and unique SKU barcodes that can be verified through the brand's official database.

Focus on fabric composition (e.g., 100% Long-staple cotton, GSM weight) and colorfastness (Grade 4 or higher). Ensure the products meet international compliance standards such as OEKO-TEX Standard 100 for chemical safety and ISO 9001 for quality management. For the US market, CPSIA compliance is mandatory for children's clothing, while the EU requires REACH regulation adherence.

Pricing is heavily tiered based on Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ). Small batches (e.g., 50-100 pieces) usually carry a 20-30% premium, whereas bulk orders (1,000+ pieces) allow for economies of scale in fabric sourcing and logistics. Buyers should request a Price Ladder to understand the break-even point between shipping costs and unit discounts.

For performance-based brands, verify technical attributes like moisture-wicking (ASTM D4700), UV protection (UPF 50+), and waterproof ratings (measured in mm). Request third-party lab reports (SGS or Intertek) to validate that the 'brand-name' performance claims match the actual physical properties of the garment.

The biggest risk is Customs Seizure. If you import branded goods without a Trademark Authorization Letter, customs in both the exporting and importing countries may confiscate the goods and impose heavy fines. Always ensure the supplier is listed on Made-in-China.com as a Verified Supplier with a clean legal record regarding IP rights.

Avoid 100% upfront payments. Use a 30% deposit and 70% balance payment structure against the Bill of Lading (B/L). For new suppliers, utilize Escrow services or Trade Assurance to ensure funds are only released after the goods pass a Pre-shipment Inspection (PSI).

For high-volume orders, Sea Freight (FCL/LCL) is the most economical, though it takes 20-40 days. For high-value branded items where time-to-market is critical, Air Freight is faster but costs significantly more. Ensure the supplier provides a Detailed Packing List and Commercial Invoice that matches the HS Code for clothing (typically Chapter 61 or 62) to avoid delays.

Implement a Golden Sample protocol where a signed sample is kept by both parties. Hire a third-party inspection agency to perform random sampling based on AQL 2.5/4.0 standards before the final payment is made. This prevents the supplier from using inferior fabrics in subsequent production runs.
