Neodymium magnet n52 manufacturers

N52 is currently the highest commercially available energy product grade for Neodymium magnets (NdFeB). You must verify the Maximum Energy Product (BHmax), which should range between 50 to 53 MGOe. Additionally, confirm the Remanence (Br) typically between 1.42-1.48 Tesla and the Intrinsic Coercivity (Hcj). Since N52 is sensitive to temperature, ensure the Maximum Operating Temperature (usually 80°C for standard N52) aligns with your application to prevent irreversible demagnetization.

Neodymium magnets are highly prone to oxidation. You should specify high-quality coatings such as Ni-Cu-Ni (Nickel-Copper-Nickel), Zinc (Zn), or Epoxy. For harsh environments, request a Salt Spray Test (SST) report; a high-quality coating should withstand 24 to 48 hours of continuous salt spray without signs of corrosion. Ensure the plating thickness is between 10-20 micrometers for optimal protection.

To ensure market access and safety, products must comply with RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) and REACH regulations, ensuring the absence of lead, mercury, and cadmium. If the magnets are used in electronics or toys, they must meet EN71 or ASTM F963 standards. Always request a Certificate of Analysis (COA) and MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) from the supplier to verify chemical composition and handling safety.

Grade fraud is a common risk. You should request a Hysteresis Graph (Demagnetization Curve) specific to your production batch. For bulk orders, it is highly recommended to use third-party inspection services to perform a Gaussian surface flux test or a Pull Force Test. Genuine N52 magnets will exhibit significantly higher magnetic pull compared to lower grades of the same dimensions.

Magnets are classified as Class 9 Dangerous Goods in air transport if their magnetic field strength exceeds 0.00525 gauss at 4.6 meters from the package. You must ensure the supplier provides Magnetic Shielding Packaging (using iron sheets and foam). A Magnetic Inspection Report (IATA PI953) from a recognized testing body is mandatory for air freight clearance to ensure the aircraft's compass is not affected.

Utilize Trade Terms that protect the buyer, such as FOB (Free On Board), and prioritize suppliers on Made-in-China.com who have undergone Audited Supplier verification. Use Escrow-based payment services or Letters of Credit (L/C) for large volumes. Never release the final 30-70% balance payment until a pre-shipment inspection has confirmed the magnetic strength and quantity.

The price of Neodymium is tied to Rare Earth market fluctuations. It is wise to negotiate a price adjustment formula based on the Asian Metal Index or similar benchmarks. For long-term stability, consider annual volume contracts to lock in margins, as N52 prices can be volatile due to raw material supply constraints in the global supply chain.

Identify the correct HS Code (typically 8505.11) for permanent magnets. Be aware of Anti-Dumping Duties (ADD) that some regions (like the EU or USA) may apply to specific Chinese magnet manufacturers. Always ask the supplier for a Certificate of Origin (CO) to potentially benefit from Free Trade Agreements (FTA) and reduce import tariffs.
