New aluminium doors manufacturers

When evaluating aluminium doors, prioritize the Alloy Grade, typically 6063-T5, which offers the best balance of strength and surface finish. Pay close attention to the Profile Thickness; for residential use, a minimum of 1.4mm is standard, while heavy-duty commercial applications require 2.0mm or higher. Additionally, ensure the use of Thermal Break Technology (polyamide strips) to prevent heat transfer and improve energy efficiency.

For global trade, doors should adhere to ISO 9001 for manufacturing quality. Depending on the target market, look for CE Marking (EN 14351-1) for Europe, AS2047 for Australia, or AAMA/WDMA standards for North America. Ensure the glass components are Tempered or Laminated and carry certifications like IGCC or SGCC to guarantee safety and impact resistance.

The durability of the door depends on its finish. Request Powder Coating that meets Qualicoat standards or Anodized finishes with a thickness of at least 15-25 microns to prevent corrosion, especially in coastal areas. Ask for Salt Spray Test Reports to verify the finish's resistance to harsh environmental conditions.

The longevity of the door is often determined by its hardware. Specify German-engineered hardware (e.g., Hoppe, Roto, or Siegenia) or high-quality domestic brands for hinges and locks. For sealing, ensure the use of EPDM Gaskets rather than standard PVC, as EPDM maintains elasticity and weatherproofing performance for a much longer period.

The biggest risk is Physical Damage or Warping during transit. To mitigate this, insist on Steel Crate or Plywood Box Packaging with foam corner protectors. Avoid simple bubble wrap for LCL (Less than Container Load) shipments. Furthermore, ensure the supplier provides Insurance Coverage that specifically includes glass breakage.

Utilize the Secured Trading Service on Made-in-China.com to protect your payments. Before placing a bulk order, always Request a Corner Sample to verify the profile cross-section and finish quality. Negotiate a payment structure of 30% deposit and 70% balance after third-party inspection but before shipment to maintain leverage.

Aluminium doors are heavy and voluminous, making Sea Freight the only economical option. Be aware of Anti-Dumping Duties that some countries (like the US or EU) may impose on aluminium extrusions from specific regions. Always ask the supplier for the HS Code (typically 761010) to calculate accurate import duties and taxes beforehand.

Request Shop Drawings (CAD/BIM) for approval before production begins. Since these are custom-sized items, a 1mm error can lead to installation failure. Ensure the supplier provides a Detailed Installation Manual and video guidance, as international after-sales on-site support is usually not feasible.
