Polyresin souvenir magnet factory manufacturers

High-quality polyresin magnets must use non-toxic, eco-friendly resin that meets international safety standards. Ensure the factory complies with EN71 (Europe) or ASTM D-4236 (USA) for chemical safety. The paint used should be lead-free and UV-resistant to prevent fading over time, especially for souvenirs intended for long-term display.

Polyresin products are often hand-painted, so consistency is key. Request high-resolution photos or physical samples to check for clean paint lines, lack of air bubbles, and smooth surface finishing. For 3D relief magnets, verify the depth of the mold detailing and ensure the magnet attachment is recessed and securely glued using industrial-strength adhesive to prevent detachment.

To ensure accuracy, provide the factory with 3D renderings or high-resolution 2D AI/PDF files. Specify the Pantone Color Bridge codes for precise color matching. Clearly define the dimensions (length, width, thickness) and the magnetic pull strength required (e.g., ferrite vs. strong neodymium magnets) based on the weight of the resin piece.

The production cycle usually involves 7-10 days for mold making (sampling) and 20-30 days for mass production, depending on the complexity of the hand-painting. Minimum Order Quantities (MOQ) typically range from 500 to 1,000 pieces per design, as the cost of creating custom silicone molds must be amortized over a larger volume to remain economically feasible.

Before sharing proprietary artwork or city-specific landmarks, sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) with the factory. Ensure the contract explicitly states that the molds are the property of the buyer and cannot be used to supply other customers. Choosing reputable suppliers on Made-in-China.com who have verified factory audits can significantly reduce the risk of design infringement.

Polyresin is brittle and prone to breakage during transit. Insist on individual bubble wrap or polybag packaging for each magnet, followed by inner boxes and double-walled corrugated export cartons. Request a drop test report from the factory and consider CIF (Cost, Insurance, and Freight) terms to ensure the goods are insured against damage during the cross-border journey.

Utilize secure payment escrow services and never transfer the full balance until a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) is completed. You can hire a third-party inspector to verify the AQL (Acceptable Quality Level), ensuring the defect rate for painting and magnet adhesion is within the agreed percentage (usually 2.5 for major defects).

Be aware of customs regulations regarding 'Magnetic Materials'. While small souvenir magnets are generally exempt from 'Dangerous Goods' air freight restrictions, large bulk shipments may require a Magnetic Inspection Report to prove the magnetic field strength does not interfere with aircraft instruments. Always check the HS Code (typically 8505.19) for specific import duties in your target country.
