You must ensure all products are made from medical-grade silicone, TPE, or ABS plastics that are BPA-free and phthalate-free. Request RoHS and REACH certification reports to ensure the absence of heavy metals and hazardous chemicals, as these products have prolonged skin contact.

Focus on waterproof ratings (IPX7 or higher) to ensure safety during cleaning and use. Verify the battery capacity (mAh) and charging method; magnetic USB charging is preferred for better sealing. Ensure the motor noise level is below 50dB for discreet operation and user comfort.

For the US market, products must comply with FDA regulations regarding 'medical devices' or 'novelty items' depending on their specific function. For the EU, CE marking and WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) compliance are mandatory for electronic components to ensure environmental and safety standards are met.

Request the supplier to provide motor life-cycle test results (e.g., 500+ hours of continuous operation). For products with moving parts, ask for tensile strength data for the outer sleeves to ensure they do not tear under repeated stress.

If you require custom branding (logo/packaging), expect a higher MOQ (usually 500-1000 units), and negotiate for the mold fee to be refunded once a certain sales volume is reached.

Conduct a patent search in your target market to ensure the design does not infringe on existing patents (e.g., specific suction technologies). Work with reputable manufacturers on Made-in-China.com who hold their own design patents and can provide authorization letters for resale.
