Stainless steel clothes hanger manufacturers

The most common grades are 201 and 304 stainless steel. For standard indoor use, 201 stainless steel is cost-effective but prone to rust in humid environments. For high-end retail or coastal regions, 304 stainless steel is essential as it offers superior corrosion resistance and durability. Always request a material analysis report (MTR) to verify the chromium and nickel content.

Focus on the wire diameter, typically ranging from 3.0mm to 4.5mm. For heavy garments like coats or suits, a diameter of 4.0mm or higher is recommended to prevent bending. Additionally, inspect the welding points; high-quality hangers use integrated spot welding or seamless loops to ensure the hook does not detach under weight.

Beyond the standard mirror polishing, you can opt for PVD electroplating to achieve colors like rose gold or matte black. For functional anti-slip properties, look for hangers with PVC or silicone dipping on the shoulder notches. Ensure that any coating is BPA-free and non-toxic to comply with international consumer safety standards.

For the EU market, products must comply with REACH regulations regarding chemical substances in coatings. For the US, ensure compliance with California Proposition 65 if any plastic or rubber components are used. While hangers are generally low-risk, obtaining an ISO 9001 certification from the supplier demonstrates a commitment to consistent manufacturing quality.

Implement a pre-shipment inspection (PSI) and specifically request a salt spray test (usually 24 to 48 hours) to verify rust resistance. Use Made-in-China.com's Secured Trading Service to ensure payment is only released after the quality inspection report is approved.

Since hangers are high-density but relatively low-value, Sea Freight (FCL or LCL) is the most economical choice. To optimize container space, request flat-pack nesting or specialized inner-box packaging. For smaller trial orders, Sea + Delivery (DDP) services can simplify customs clearance and reduce local port fees.

Standard stainless steel hangers usually have an MOQ of 1,000 to 3,000 pieces. If you require logo laser engraving, negotiate a 'sample first' policy where the sample fee is credited toward the bulk order. For long-term partnerships, ask for a staggered pricing tier based on annual volume rather than single-order quantity.

Always verify the supplier's Business License and Export Qualification on the platform. Avoid direct transfers to private bank accounts; instead, use official corporate accounts verified by Made-in-China.com. Ensure the Proforma Invoice (PI) clearly states the stainless steel grade (e.g., SUS304) to provide legal recourse in case of disputes.
