Stainless steel drip tray manufacturers

Buyers should prioritize Grade 304 stainless steel for standard food and beverage applications due to its excellent corrosion resistance and durability. For high-salinity or coastal environments, Grade 316 is recommended. Ensure the thickness is at least 1.0mm to 1.2mm (18-20 gauge) to prevent warping under heavy glassware or equipment.

A brushed (satin) finish is the industry standard as it effectively hides fingerprints and minor scratches. A mirror-polished finish offers a high-end aesthetic but requires more frequent maintenance. Ensure the edges are deburred and hemmed to prevent injury during cleaning and installation.

Check for a removable louvered screen or perforated cover that allows for easy cleaning. For built-in models, verify the drain socket diameter (typically 1/2" or 3.5") and ensure it includes a threaded brass or stainless steel outlet to prevent leaks. For surface-mount trays, ensure the base has non-slip rubber feet or a weighted bottom for stability.

Products must meet NSF/ANSI 2 standards for food equipment. For international markets, ensure the materials are LFGB (Germany) or FDA (USA) compliant, certifying that the steel and any coatings are free from lead and harmful contaminants. Request Material Test Reports (MTRs) to verify the chemical composition of the alloy.

This is a common risk in cross-border sourcing. You should require a stainless steel chemical spot test or a handheld XRF analyzer report from the supplier before shipment. On Made-in-China.com, look for Audited Suppliers who have had their production capabilities and material authenticity verified by third-party institutions like SGS or Intertek.

For custom-sized drip trays, tooling costs (mold fees) are a major negotiation point; ask the supplier to waive these fees if the order exceeds a certain volume (e.g., 500+ units). For standard sizes, aim for a 15-20% discount on bulk tiers and negotiate incoterms like FOB to maintain better control over your logistics costs.

Stainless steel is prone to denting and scratching. Insist on individual PE protective film on all polished surfaces, followed by bubble wrap and heavy-duty 5-layer corrugated boxes. For LCL (Less than Container Load) shipping, require palletization with edge protectors to prevent crushing during stacking.

Always use Secured Trading Services provided by the platform to ensure your payment is held in escrow until shipping documents are verified. Implement a 30/70 payment structure (30% deposit, 70% upon presentation of the Bill of Lading) and never wire full payments to unverified private bank accounts.
