Stainless steel glass rack manufacturers

When sourcing, prioritize Grade 304 or 316 stainless steel. Grade 304 is the industry standard for corrosion resistance in humid kitchen environments, while Grade 316 is recommended for coastal or high-salinity areas. Ensure the product has a brushed or polished finish that is free of burrs to prevent scratching the glassware or injuring staff.

Check the wire diameter (typically 3mm to 5mm) and the welding technique. Argon arc welding or spot welding with reinforcement ensures the joints won't snap under the weight of heavy crystal or glass. For wall-mounted units, verify that the mounting brackets are rated for at least 1.5 times the expected maximum load.

For B2B buyers, compliance with NSF/ANSI standards is crucial for food service equipment. Additionally, ensure the material passes LFGB (Germany) or FDA (USA) food-contact surface tests to guarantee no heavy metal leaching. If the rack includes plastic components (like protective tips), they must be BPA-free and heat-resistant.

Look for slotted designs with protective PVC or silicone sleeves on the hanging rails to prevent glass-to-metal contact, which reduces chipping. For high-volume environments, choose modular or stackable designs that allow for scalability as the business grows. Ensure the spacing between rails accommodates various base sizes, from slim champagne flutes to wide burgundy glasses.

Always request a pre-shipment inspection (PSI) by a third-party agency. Specifically, ask for a salt spray test report (minimum 24-48 hours) to verify the anti-rust properties of the stainless steel. Use Made-in-China.com's Secured Trading Service to ensure payment is only released after the goods pass quality verification.

Negotiate based on raw material market price indices (LME Nickel prices). If you are placing a large order, ask for tiered pricing where the unit cost drops by 5-10% for every 500 additional units. Also, negotiate for customized packaging (e.g., double-walled corrugated boxes) to be included in the FOB price to prevent deformation during sea freight.

Stainless steel racks are 'dead weight' but can be bulky. To save on ocean freight costs, request KD (Knock-Down) packaging which reduces the shipping volume by up to 60%. Ensure each component is individually wrapped in PE foam to prevent surface scratches during transit. For shipping to the US or EU, confirm the supplier provides a Certificate of Origin to potentially benefit from preferential tariff rates.

Verify the supplier's Business License and Export Qualification on the platform. Prioritize Audited Suppliers on Made-in-China.com, as these companies have undergone rigorous on-site checks by independent verification companies like SGS or Bureau Veritas. Avoid direct wire transfers to private bank accounts; always use official corporate accounts.
