Sterile injection water price manufacturers

Sterile Water for Injection must strictly adhere to international pharmacopoeia standards such as USP (United States Pharmacopeia), EP (European Pharmacopeia), or BP (British Pharmacopeia). The water must be pyrogen-free (endotoxin levels < 0.25 EU/ml), contain no antimicrobial agents, and be produced via distillation or reverse osmosis. Buyers should verify that the manufacturer holds a valid GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) certificate to ensure pharmaceutical-grade safety.

The price is heavily influenced by the container type: Type I Borosilicate glass ampoules are the gold standard for stability but are more expensive and fragile, while Medical-grade PE or PP plastic ampoules (BFS technology) offer lower costs and reduced breakage risks. Blow-Fill-Seal (BFS) technology is preferred for high-volume sourcing as it integrates forming, filling, and sealing in one sterile process, significantly reducing contamination risks and lowering the unit price for bulk orders.

Buyers must confirm the pH range (typically 5.0 to 7.0), conductivity levels (<1.3 μS/cm at 25°C), and total organic carbon (TOC) limits (<500 ppb). Additionally, specify the volume requirements (e.g., 2ml, 5ml, 10ml, or 20ml) as the machinery calibration for different sizes can impact the lead time and the Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ).

As a medical product, you must ensure the supplier provides a Certificate of Analysis (COA) for every batch. For cross-border trade, the manufacturer should ideally have ISO 13485 (Medical Devices) or ISO 15378 (Primary packaging materials for medicinal products). Depending on the destination country, a Certificate of Pharmaceutical Product (CPP) or Free Sale Certificate (FSC) may be required for customs clearance.

Always request a pre-shipment inspection by a third-party agency like SGS or Intertek to verify the sterility test reports and batch numbers. Use Made-in-China.com's Secured Trading services to ensure that payment is only released after the shipping documents and quality certificates are verified. Avoid suppliers who cannot provide a traceable manufacturing license.

Sterile water is heavy and classified as a liquid, which can complicate air freight. Sea freight is the most economical method for bulk orders, but you must ensure the cargo is stored in a cool, dry environment (controlled room temperature) to prevent degradation of plastic packaging. Ensure the supplier uses heavy-duty corrugated pallets and shrink-wrapping to prevent leakage and contamination during transit.

Focus on volume-based pricing tiers. Pharmaceutical margins for sterile water are slim, so discounts are usually found in logistics optimization and large-scale production runs. Ask for a 'contract price' if you can commit to an annual volume, which can reduce costs by 10-20% compared to one-off spot purchases. Always clarify if the quoted price includes export packaging and palletization fees.

Many countries classify Sterile Water for Injection as a regulated drug or medical device. Ensure your import license covers the specific HS Code (typically 3004.90). Failure to provide the correct Product Registration or Marketing Authorization in the destination country can lead to immediate seizure by customs. Always consult with a local customs broker before finalizing the transaction.
