Buyers should prioritize medical-grade silicone that is BPA-free and non-porous to ensure skin safety. The core technology involves pressure wave or air-pulse vibration, which should offer at least 7-10 intensity modes. Additionally, ensure the device has an IPX7 waterproof rating for easy cleaning and versatility, and a rechargeable lithium-ion battery providing at least 60-90 minutes of continuous use.

For the US market, products must comply with FDA registration requirements for medical/personal devices and California Proposition 65 regarding phthalates. For the EU, CE marking, RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances), and REACH compliance are essential. Ensure the supplier provides MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) for the integrated batteries to facilitate smooth air and sea freight.

Request a sample for destructive testing, focusing on motor noise levels (should be <50dB) and button tactile response. Verify the tensile strength of the silicone to ensure it doesn't tear under pressure. It is highly recommended to check if the supplier uses ultrasonic welding technology for the outer shell to prevent water ingress and internal component failure.

Most professional manufacturers on Made-in-China.com offer private labeling (logo printing) with an MOQ of 500-1000 units. Advanced customization includes custom Pantone colors, bespoke luxury packaging (magnetic gift boxes), and custom vibration patterns programmed into the PCB. Always request a pre-production sample before the full run.

The primary risk is Customs Seizure due to local regulations regarding 'obscene materials' or 'medical devices.' Always ensure the HS Code (typically 9019.10 or 3926.90) is correctly declared. Another risk is Intellectual Property (IP) infringement; ensure the design does not violate existing patents from major brands like Womanizer or Satisfyer.

Utilize Secure Payment services provided by platforms like Made-in-China.com to hold funds in escrow until goods are received. Negotiate a 30/70 payment term (30% deposit, 70% balance after passing a third-party pre-shipment inspection). Explicitly define the Defective Rate Allowance (typically <1%) and the compensation protocol for faulty units.

Request discreet packaging (plain brown boxes with no mention of the contents) to protect consumer privacy and reduce theft risk. For shipping to the US or Europe, use DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) terms if you want the supplier to handle all customs clearances and duties, which simplifies the process for the buyer.

Look for 'Audited Suppliers' on Made-in-China.com, as they have undergone on-site verification by independent agencies like SGS or TÜV Rheinland. Check their Business License to ensure their scope includes 'Research and Development' and 'Manufacturing' rather than just 'Trading,' which usually results in better pricing and quality control.
