Toyota hilux vigo headlight manufacturers

When sourcing headlights for the Toyota Hilux Vigo (typically models from 2005-2015), you must distinguish between Halogen, LED, and Xenon (HID) types. Ensure the housing material is high-grade Polycarbonate (PC) with an anti-UV coating to prevent yellowing and cracking. For performance, verify the luminous flux (lumens) and color temperature (typically 6000K for LED). Additionally, confirm the IP67 or IP68 waterproof rating to ensure durability against heavy rain and dust ingress.

Compatibility is critical as the Hilux Vigo has different facelifts (e.g., 2005, 2008, 2011, and 2012-2015). Always request the OEM Part Numbers (e.g., 81110-0K400) to match the exact year and trim. Furthermore, specify whether you need LHD (Left-Hand Drive) or RHD (Right-Hand Drive) beam patterns, as the light cutoff line differs to avoid blinding oncoming traffic in different countries.

For international trade, prioritize suppliers whose products carry E-Mark (ECE) certification for European markets or DOT/SAE compliance for North American standards. Ensure the manufacturer operates under ISO 9001 or IATF 16949 quality management systems, which are the gold standards for the automotive supply chain to ensure consistent dimensions and plug-and-play fitment.

Beyond standard replacements, many B2B buyers seek aftermarket upgrades such as Angel Eyes, DRL (Daytime Running Lights) strips, and Sequential Turn Signals. These are popular for the 'off-road' and 'custom' markets. Ensure these functional upgrades include built-in CANbus decoders to prevent 'bulb out' dashboard errors on newer Vigo iterations.

Headlights are fragile. You should mandate 5-layer corrugated export cartons with custom-fit EPE foam or air-column bags for each unit. For bulk sea freight, request palletization with plastic wrap to prevent moisture and crushing. On Made-in-China.com, you can hire third-party inspection services to verify packaging integrity before the balance payment is made.

Focus on sample-to-bulk credit. Negotiate for the sample cost to be deducted from your first container order. Ask for a 1-2% defect allowance (spare parts like clips or bulbs) to be included free of charge. For long-term partnerships, aim for tiered pricing where the unit cost drops significantly once you hit a Full Container Load (FCL).

Always use Secured Trading Services provided by platforms like Made-in-China.com to ensure your payment is held in escrow until shipping documents are verified. Avoid direct transfers to private bank accounts. Ensure the Proforma Invoice (PI) clearly states the warranty period (ideally 12-24 months) and the specific compensation terms for functional failures or moisture leakage.

Verify the HS Code (typically 851220) for automotive lighting to calculate accurate import duties. Be aware that some countries have strict anti-dumping duties or require specific local certifications (like CCC for China or INMETRO for Brazil). Work with a freight forwarder experienced in automotive logistics to ensure all 'Certificate of Origin' documents are prepared to leverage Free Trade Agreements (FTA).
