Unlocked mobile phones manufacturers

When sourcing unlocked mobile phones, the most critical factor is Network Band Compatibility. You must verify that the devices support the specific 4G LTE and 5G NR bands used by carriers in the destination country (e.g., Bands 2, 4, 5, 12, 66, and 71 for North America). Additionally, ensure the phones are Factory Unlocked, meaning they are not tied to any specific carrier's software or hardware locks, and support Global Version firmware to ensure access to Google Play Services and multiple languages.

Compliance is non-negotiable for electronics. For the US market, devices must have FCC Certification; for the European Union, CE Marking and RoHS compliance (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) are required. Furthermore, because mobile phones contain lithium batteries, you must ensure the supplier provides UN38.3 test reports and MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets) to facilitate legal and safe international air or sea transport.

Focus on the Processor (Chipset), such as Qualcomm Snapdragon or MediaTek Dimensity series, to ensure performance stability. Request Battery Health Reports and verify that the Battery Capacity (mAh) meets modern standards (typically 4500mAh to 5000mAh). For the display, prioritize AMOLED or high-refresh-rate LCDs with Gorilla Glass protection. It is highly recommended to request a sample unit to perform a 'stress test' on the software UI and hardware thermal management before placing a bulk order.

Confirm the Android version and the supplier's commitment to OTA (Over-The-Air) updates. For B2B buyers, a 12-month warranty is the industry standard. Negotiate for a 1% to 2% spare parts allowance (such as screens, batteries, and charging ports) included in the bulk shipment, which is often more cost-effective than shipping individual units back for repair.

Always use Secure Payment Terms such as Letters of Credit (L/C) or Escrow services provided by reputable platforms like Made-in-China.com. Avoid direct wire transfers to private accounts. Utilize Third-Party Inspection services (like SGS or Intertek) to conduct a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) to verify that the IMEI numbers, specifications, and quantities match your purchase order before the final payment is released.

Mobile phones are classified as Dangerous Goods due to lithium batteries. You must use a freight forwarder experienced in electronics. Ensure the HS Code (typically 8517.13) is correctly declared on the Commercial Invoice and Packing List. Be aware of Import Duties and VAT in your country; for example, some regions have specific 'Anti-Dumping' duties or luxury taxes on high-end smartphones.

Leverage Volume-Based Pricing. Start by asking for a price ladder (e.g., 100 units, 500 units, 1000+ units). If you are a repeat buyer, negotiate for Neutral Packaging (White Box) to reduce costs or OEM Branding if you meet the MOQ. On Made-in-China.com, prioritize Audited Suppliers who have undergone on-site factory verification, as they are more likely to offer stable pricing and reliable lead times.

If sourcing refurbished units, strictly define the Grading System (Grade A++, A, B) in the contract. Grade A should look like new with 0 scratches and >90% battery health. Clearly state that 'Unlocked' must mean Permanent Unlock, not a 'Software Bypass' or 'R-SIM' solution, which can relock the phone after a factory reset.
