Vacuum travel bags manufacturers

B2B buyers should prioritize bags made from a blend of PA (Polyamide) and PE (Polyethylene). PA provides the essential oxygen barrier and durability, while PE ensures flexibility and heat-sealing strength. Avoid 100% PE bags as they are prone to brittleness and leaking. A thickness of 0.07mm to 0.09mm (70-90 microns) is the industry standard for balancing weight and puncture resistance.

Ensure the bags feature a double-zip seal with a color-changing indicator to confirm a secure closure. The valve should be a triple-seal turbo valve or a one-way silicone gasket valve that is compatible with both standard vacuum cleaners and manual hand pumps. For travel-specific 'roll-up' bags, verify the dual-exhaust vent technology which allows air to escape without letting it back in.

Products must comply with REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals) for the EU market and California Proposition 65 for the US, ensuring the plastics are free from harmful phthalates and lead. Additionally, look for ISO 9001 certification to ensure consistent manufacturing quality and BSCI (Business Social Compliance Initiative) audits for ethical sourcing.

Vacuum bags are primarily used for space-saving (up to 80% reduction), seasonal storage, and protection against moisture, insects, and odors. For the travel sector, focus on 'Hand-Roll' functionality which eliminates the need for a pump, making them ideal for luggage organization. For home organization retailers, Jumbo and Extra-Large sizes for duvets and pillows are the highest-demand SKUs.

Request a 24-hour inflation test report from the supplier. A professional manufacturer should perform a vacuum retention test on a random sample (AQL 2.5/4.0) where bags are sucked flat and monitored for 24 hours. Third-party pre-shipment inspections are highly recommended to verify the seal integrity before the balance payment is made.

Focus on MOQ (Minimum Order Quantity) flexibility for customized printing. While standard bags have low MOQs, customized retail packaging (color boxes or printed bags) usually requires 5,000+ units. Negotiate for tiered pricing where the unit cost drops by 10-15% as volume exceeds 10,000 units. Always ask for free samples but offer to cover the express shipping cost to show serious intent.

Vacuum bags are lightweight but can be bulky if not packed correctly. Ensure the supplier uses 5-layer corrugated export cartons to prevent compression damage. Since plastic is sensitive to extreme heat, ensure the container is not placed near the engine room or on the top deck during sea freight to avoid warping or 'sticking' of the plastic film.

Utilize Secured Trading Services on Made-in-China.com to protect your payment until delivery is confirmed. Be aware of Anti-Dumping duties that some regions may apply to plastic products from specific origins. Always clarify the HS Code (typically 3923.21 for PE bags) with your customs broker to ensure accurate duty calculation and compliance with local import regulations.
