Wholesale bags shoes manufacturers

For shoes, prioritize genuine leather (Full-grain or Top-grain) for high-end markets or high-quality PU/Microfiber for cost-effective durability. Ensure outsoles are made of TPU or Rubber for superior slip resistance and wear. For bags, check the denier count (e.g., 600D, 1680D) for nylon/polyester items to ensure tear resistance, and verify that hardware (zippers and buckles) is electroplated to prevent oxidation and rust.

Products must adhere to REACH (EU) or Prop 65 (US) regulations regarding lead, phthalates, and azo dyes. For children's shoes or bags, CPSIA compliance is mandatory. Always request Physical Test Reports covering colorfastness, seam strength, and sole flexing from accredited bodies like SGS or Intertek to ensure the goods meet destination country safety standards.

Request a Pre-production Sample (PPS) to inspect the stitching density (SPI - Stitches Per Inch) and edge finishing. For shoes, check the lasting quality and the bond strength between the upper and the sole. For bags, inspect the lining material and reinforced stitching at stress points like handle attachments. A professional supplier on Made-in-China.com should provide a detailed Quality Control (QC) checklist.

Current trends emphasize sustainability, so look for suppliers offering RPET (recycled plastic) fabrics or vegan leather. Functional requirements include ergonomic support in footwear (orthopedic insoles) and anti-theft features or integrated USB charging ports in backpacks. Customization via OEM/ODM services is critical for brand differentiation.

Utilize Secured Payment services provided by platforms like Made-in-China.com to ensure funds are only released upon confirmation of shipment. Conduct a Supplier Audit to verify their 'Audited Supplier' status, which confirms their production capacity, business license, and factory existence, significantly reducing the risk of fraud.

Negotiate based on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) rather than just the unit price. Ask for tiered pricing (e.g., 500, 1000, 5000 units) to understand the supplier's margin. If you are a startup, negotiate a lower MOQ for trial orders by offering to use in-stock raw materials or standard colors already available in the factory's warehouse.

For high-volume orders, Sea Freight (FCL or LCL) is the most economical, but ensure you account for volumetric weight, especially for non-collapsible shoes. Use palletization to prevent box crushing. For urgent seasonal launches, Air Freight is viable but costly. Always clarify Incoterms (FOB vs. DDP) to understand who is responsible for customs clearance and import duties.

Ensure your logo and design files are protected by a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) before sharing. Verify that the supplier does not display your custom designs in their public showroom. When purchasing 'unbranded' wholesale items, ensure they do not inadvertently infringe on existing trademarks or patented designs of major global brands to avoid customs seizures.
