Wholesale bikini swimming suit manufacturers

Prioritize fabrics with a high Spandex/Elastane content (typically 15-20%) blended with Nylon or Polyester to ensure shape retention and elasticity. For premium markets, look for Italian Carvico or ECONYL® (regenerated nylon). Ensure the fabric weight is between 180-220 GSM to prevent transparency when wet, and verify that the lining is breathable and quick-drying.

Suppliers must provide OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certification to guarantee the absence of harmful chemicals. For the US market, compliance with CPSIA (especially for children's swimwear) is required. For the EU, ensure products meet REACH regulations. Additionally, verify UPF 50+ (Ultraviolet Protection Factor) ratings through third-party lab tests like SGS or Intertek to add marketing value.

Request test reports for colorfastness to chlorine, salt water, and perspiration (minimum Grade 4). Check for double-needle stitching and reinforced seams to prevent unraveling. For hardware like buckles and rings, ensure they are zinc alloy with anti-rust coating or high-grade plastic that won't degrade under intense UV exposure.

A top-tier manufacturer should offer Sublimation Printing for vibrant, fade-resistant patterns and Heat Transfer or Embroidery for logos. They should support Low MOQ for custom prints (e.g., 50-100 pieces per style) and provide CAD pattern-making services to ensure accurate sizing across XS-XXL ranges, including plus-size specifications.

The primary risks include sizing discrepancies (Asian vs. Western sizing) and color variance between digital samples and physical mass production. To mitigate this, always request a pre-production sample (PPS) and use a detailed size chart with tolerances of +/- 1cm. Ensure the contract specifies AQL 2.5/4.0 inspection standards before final payment.

Negotiate based on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), including packaging and labeling. Ask for tiered pricing (e.g., 500, 1000, 5000 units) and aim for a 30% deposit / 70% balance payment structure. For long-term partners, negotiate for free sample development or a reduction in the unit price if you provide the fabric designs.

Swimwear is lightweight but high-volume; use vacuum packaging to reduce shipping volume and costs. For urgent seasonal launches, Air Freight is preferred, but for bulk stock, Sea Freight (LCL/FCL) is more economical. Ensure the supplier uses moisture-proof desiccant bags in every carton to prevent mold during long-distance maritime transit.

Always conduct transactions through secure payment channels provided by reputable platforms like Made-in-China.com, which offer trade escrow services. Verify the supplier's Audit Reports and 'Diamond Member' status to confirm their factory's physical existence and production capacity. Avoid direct wire transfers to personal bank accounts.
