Wholesale cotton sheeting fabric manufacturers

When evaluating cotton sheeting, the most critical factors are Thread Count (TC), Yarn Count (e.g., 40s, 60s), and Weight (GSM). For high-quality bedding or apparel, look for a thread count between 200TC and 400TC. Ensure the fabric is 100% Combed Cotton if you require a smoother finish and higher durability, as combing removes short fibers and impurities. Additionally, verify the Weave Type (Percale for a crisp feel or Sateen for a silky luster) to match your specific end-use requirements.

To ensure market access and consumer safety, prioritize suppliers with OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certification, which guarantees the fabric is free from harmful substances. If you are marketing 'Organic' products, GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) certification is mandatory. For the US market, ensure compliance with CPSIA (especially for children's products), and for the EU, verify adherence to REACH regulations regarding chemical dyes and finishes.

Request a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) and a Lab Test Report covering Colorfastness to Washing (ISO 105-C06) and Colorfastness to Rubbing (ISO 105-X12). A high-quality fabric should achieve a Grade 4 or higher. Furthermore, check the Shrinkage Rate; standard cotton sheeting should not exceed 3-5% shrinkage after the first wash. Always request Shipping Samples from the actual production lot rather than relying solely on initial development samples.

Depending on your target market, you can request specialized treatments such as Mercerization (to increase luster and dye affinity), Sanforization (to pre-shrink the fabric), or Anti-pilling finishes. For hospitality or healthcare sectors, consider Antimicrobial or Easy-iron (Wrinkle-resistant) finishes to enhance the product's lifecycle and ease of maintenance.

Utilize Secure Payment Services provided by reputable platforms like Made-in-China.com, which offer escrow-style protection. Never wire full payments to private bank accounts. It is highly recommended to use Trade Assurance programs to ensure that the supplier adheres to the agreed-upon quality standards and delivery timelines. Conduct a Supplier Audit or check their Audit Reports on the platform to verify their manufacturing capacity and business legitimacy.

Textile pricing is highly sensitive to Raw Cotton Market Indices. When negotiating, ask for a Price Breakdown including greige fabric cost, dyeing/printing costs, and finishing costs. For Minimum Order Quantities (MOQ), if you cannot meet the standard 1,000-3,000 meters per color, negotiate for Stock Fabrics or offer to pay a Small Lot Surcharge to test the market without overstocking inventory.

Cotton fabric is heavy and bulky; therefore, Sea Freight (FCL or LCL) is the most economical method. Ensure the supplier uses Double-Layer Packaging (inner plastic wrap and outer woven bag) to prevent moisture damage and staining during transit. Clarify the Incoterms clearly—FOB (Free On Board) is generally preferred for buyers who have their own freight forwarders, while CIF (Cost, Insurance, and Freight) may be more convenient for first-time importers.

Stay informed about Anti-Dumping Duties and Rules of Origin. For example, importing cotton from certain regions may be subject to specific trade restrictions (like the UFLPA in the US). Always request a Certificate of Origin from your supplier to benefit from potential Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) that could significantly reduce your import duties.
