Wholesale drinking water glass manufacturers

Buyers should prioritize Soda-Lime Glass for cost-effective mass production or High Borosilicate Glass for superior thermal shock resistance (ideal for hot and cold beverages). For premium markets, Lead-Free Crystal offers high clarity and a pleasant ring without health risks. Ensure the glass is BPA-free and meets food-grade safety standards.

For the US market, products must comply with FDA 21 CFR regulations regarding lead and cadmium leaching. For the EU, Regulation (EC) No 1935/2004 and Directive 84/500/EEC are essential. Always request SGS or Intertek lab test reports to verify that the glass is safe for food contact.

Check for rim tempering to prevent chipping and ensure the annealing process was sufficient to eliminate internal stress. Inspect samples for bubbles, scratches, or wavy lines, which indicate poor quality control. For printed or colored glass, verify dishwasher safety through a 50-cycle wash test to ensure the design does not peel.

Suppliers on Made-in-China.com usually offer OEM/ODM services including decal printing, laser engraving, sandblasting, and electroplating. Buyers can also request custom mold creation for unique shapes, though this involves a higher Mold Fee and longer lead times.

Request 5-layer corrugated export cartons and individual bubble wrap or egg-crate dividers. For high-value orders, insist on palletization with shrink wrap to minimize handling. It is highly recommended to include a 1-3% breakage allowance in the contract or purchase Marine Cargo Insurance to cover transit damage.

Focus on Tiered Pricing; glassware is volume-sensitive, and increasing your order to a Full Container Load (FCL) can reduce unit costs by 20-30% compared to LCL. Negotiate payment terms such as 30% deposit and 70% against the Bill of Lading (B/L) to maintain cash flow leverage.

Utilize the Secured Trading Service on Made-in-China.com to protect your payment. Before transferring large sums, conduct a Factory Audit or hire a third-party inspector to verify the supplier's Business License and production capacity to avoid 'trading company' markups if you require direct factory pricing.

Due to the high weight and fragility of glass, Sea Freight (FCL or LCL) is the only economically viable option for bulk orders. For urgent samples, use International Express (DHL/FedEx), but ensure the supplier uses reinforced sample packaging to prevent arrival damage.
