Wholesale food fridge magnet manufacturers

For realistic food magnets, PVC (Soft Rubber) and Resin (Polyresin) are the industry standards. PVC is durable, flexible, and cost-effective for 2D or 2.5D designs, while Resin allows for intricate 3D detailing and hand-painted finishes that mimic real food textures. Ensure the magnets use Strong Anisotropic Ferrite or Neodymium magnets to prevent sliding on refrigerator surfaces.

Since these items often resemble food and may be handled by children, they must comply with EN71 (Parts 1-3) for the EU market and ASTM F963 for the US. It is critical to ensure the materials are BPA-free and Non-toxic. Furthermore, the magnet itself must be securely embedded or glued to pass 'small parts' pull tests to prevent choking hazards.

Request a Pre-production Sample (PPS) to verify color accuracy and 'appetizing' visual appeal. High-quality suppliers use Pantone Matching Systems (PMS) to ensure consistency. For 3D resin magnets, check for UV-resistant coatings to prevent the colors from fading over time when exposed to kitchen lighting.

Most professional manufacturers on Made-in-China.com offer OEM/ODM services. You can customize the shape, size, and 3D relief depth. For branding, you can choose between silk-screen printing, CMYK offset printing, or embossed logos on the back or side of the magnet. Customized backing cards are also a high-value add-on for retail-ready packaging.

Magnets are considered 'Dangerous Goods' for air freight because they can interfere with aircraft navigation systems. You must ensure the supplier provides a Magnetic Inspection Report. For bulk sea freight, this is less of an issue, but items should be packed with magnetic shielding (iron sheets) if shipped via express courier to avoid delays or rejection by customs.

Wholesale food magnets typically have an MOQ of 500 to 1,000 pieces per design. To lower costs, try to consolidate multiple designs into one order to reach a higher total volume discount. Negotiate for tiered pricing (e.g., 1k, 5k, 10k units) and ask if the mold fee can be waived or refunded once a certain order threshold is met.

Always use Secured Payment services provided by reputable platforms like Made-in-China.com. Avoid direct wire transfers to private accounts. Prioritize Audited Suppliers who have undergone third-party onsite inspections. This reduces the risk of 'fly-by-night' operations and ensures you are dealing with a legitimate manufacturing facility.

Your inspection should focus on Magnet Strength (must hold at least 3-5 sheets of A4 paper), Adhesion Test (the magnet should not peel off the decorative part), and Paint Odor (no strong chemical smells). Conduct a Drop Test from 1 meter to ensure resin components do not shatter easily during transit or consumer use.
