Wholesale fox fur jackets manufacturers

High-quality fox fur should have dense underfur and long, glossy guard hairs. Buyers should check for skin suppleness; the leather side should be soft and creamy, not stiff or 'papery,' which indicates old stock or poor tanning. Ensure seam strength by inspecting the 'let-out' or 'skin-to-skin' stitching—reinforced seams are essential for durability in luxury outerwear.

Compliance is critical due to animal welfare regulations. Buyers must ensure suppliers provide CITES certification if required for specific species, though most farmed fox falls under general trade. Look for Furmark® certification to guarantee animal welfare and environmental standards. For the EU market, ensure the tanning process complies with REACH regulations regarding chromium and formaldehyde levels.

Blue Fox is the most popular for dyeing due to its white/bluish tint and soft texture, making it ideal for high-fashion colorful jackets. Silver Fox is prized for its natural black and silver contrast and is best for premium, natural-look collections. Shadow Fox offers a pure white base, perfect for bridal or high-end evening wear.

Orders should specify the fur origin (e.g., Scandinavian or North American), tanning method, and lining material (silk or high-grade acetate is preferred). Define the weight per garment to ensure consistency and specify size charts (Asian vs. European/US sizing) to avoid high return rates. Request YKK or high-end brand zippers and specialized fur hooks for closures.

Fur is a highly regulated commodity. The biggest risk is seizure by customs due to lack of proper documentation or mislabeling. Always ensure the Harmonized System (HS) Code (typically Chapter 43) is accurate. Verify if your country has specific labeling laws (like the US Fur Products Labeling Act) which require the country of origin and animal species to be clearly disclosed.

Focus on sample-to-bulk consistency. Negotiate a 'Golden Sample' agreement where the bulk production must match the approved sample's fur density and color. Ask for tiered pricing based on raw material auction prices (Saga or Kopenhagen Fur). For large orders, negotiate staggered payments (e.g., 30% deposit, 70% after third-party inspection) to mitigate financial risk.

Fur is sensitive to heat and moisture. Use temperature-controlled shipping if crossing tropical zones. Jackets should be packed loosely to avoid crushing the guard hairs; never use vacuum packaging. Ensure the supplier uses moisture-absorbent silica gel packs and pH-neutral garment bags to prevent mold and odor during long-sea freights.

Utilize Secured Trading services on Made-in-China.com to protect your funds until delivery is confirmed. Always hire a third-party inspection agency (like SGS or Intertek) to perform a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) to verify the quantity and quality of the fur skins before the final balance is paid.
