Wholesale jelly shoes manufacturers

When sourcing jelly shoes, the primary material is PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride) or TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane). TPU is generally considered higher quality as it is more flexible, eco-friendly, and resistant to yellowing. Ensure the supplier uses non-toxic, phthalate-free materials to meet international safety standards. For comfort, look for designs with integrated arch support and breathable perforations to prevent moisture buildup.

For the US market, products must comply with CPSIA (Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act), especially regarding lead and phthalate content in children's footwear. For the EU, REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals) compliance is mandatory to ensure no hazardous substances are present. Always request CE marking and ASTM international standards documentation from your supplier on Made-in-China.com.

Focus on the injection molding process. High-quality jelly shoes should have smooth edges without burrs or sharp plastic flashes. Check the tensile strength of the straps; they should stretch without tearing. Request a flex test report (e.g., SATRA standards) to ensure the soles can withstand at least 30,000 to 50,000 flexes without cracking.

Most professional manufacturers offer OEM/ODM services. This includes custom mold creation for unique designs, private labeling (logo embossing or printing), and custom color matching via Pantone codes. For jelly shoes, adding glitter, scents (like lemon or bubblegum), or decorative charms (Jibbitz style) are popular value-added features that can increase your retail margin.

Always utilize Trade Assurance or secure payment terms provided by Made-in-China.com. It is highly recommended to hire a third-party inspection service (like SGS or Intertek) to perform a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI). They will check for color consistency, sizing accuracy, and material odor, ensuring the bulk matches the approved gold sample.

Negotiate based on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) rather than just the unit price. Ask for tiered pricing (e.g., 1,000 units vs. 5,000 units) and inquire if the mold fee can be rebated once your cumulative order volume reaches a certain threshold. Also, negotiate for spare parts (like extra buckles or charms) to be included at no extra cost.

Since jelly shoes are relatively heavy but can be packed densely, Sea Freight (LCL or FCL) is the most economical choice for bulk orders. To save on costs, request bulk packing (polybags) instead of individual shoe boxes to reduce the volumetric weight. For urgent seasonal launches, consider Sea-Air combined transport to balance cost and speed.

Ensure the supplier has the right to manufacture and export the specific design. Avoid products that closely mimic patented designs from major brands to prevent customs seizures. When creating custom designs, sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) and a Non-Compete Agreement with the factory to protect your original molds and brand assets.
