Wholesale poultry house curtain manufacturers

Buyers should prioritize High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) or PVC-coated polyester fabrics. For optimal durability, the fabric weight should range between 400gsm to 650gsm. Ensure the material includes UV stabilizers to prevent degradation from sun exposure and anti-aging additives to extend the service life to at least 5-8 years in harsh farm environments.

The choice depends on the poultry type; broilers often require blackout curtains (100% opacity) to control lighting cycles, while layers or breeders may benefit from translucent curtains that allow natural light. For temperature control, double-layered insulated curtains with a middle air gap or foam layer are essential in regions with extreme temperature fluctuations to maintain thermal efficiency and reduce energy costs.

Look for reinforced hems with high-frequency welding rather than simple stitching to prevent tearing. The curtain should feature heavy-duty eyelets (grommets) spaced every 20-30cm and be compatible with winch-driven pulley systems. Ensure the supplier provides wind-resistant straps or cables to prevent the curtain from flapping, which can stress the fabric and disturb the birds.

Verify that the curtains meet Flame Retardant standards such as NFPA 701 or B1/B2 ratings to minimize fire risks in the poultry house. Additionally, ensure the materials are non-toxic and REACH/RoHS compliant to ensure no harmful chemicals off-gas into the livestock environment, affecting bird health.

Always request a pre-shipment inspection (PSI) by a third-party agency to verify tensile strength, tear resistance, and waterproofness. Before placing a bulk order, purchase a production sample to test the actual light-blocking capabilities and material thickness. On Made-in-China.com, prioritize Audited Suppliers who have undergone onsite verification of their manufacturing facilities.

Negotiate based on Total Linear Meters or Square Meters rather than just unit price. Ask for volume-based discounts (typically 10-20% for full container loads). Request a warranty of at least 3 years against UV degradation. If you are a recurring buyer, negotiate for spare parts like pulleys, nylon ropes, and repair kits to be included at no extra cost.

Poultry curtains are heavy and bulky; ensure the supplier uses strong PVC pipes or hard paper tubes as internal cores to prevent crushing during transit. The outer packaging should be waterproof woven bags. For international shipping, FOB (Free On Board) is recommended if you have a reliable freight forwarder, as it gives you better control over the ocean freight costs and local clearance.

Utilize Secured Payment services provided by Made-in-China.com to ensure funds are only released after you confirm receipt of goods. Avoid direct wire transfers to private accounts. Ensure the Proforma Invoice (PI) clearly states the GSM (grams per square meter), UV protection percentage, and exact dimensions to provide legal recourse in case of disputes.
