Wholesale primary school wear manufacturers

Primary school wear must prioritize skin-friendliness and safety. Look for fabrics with a high cotton blend (at least 60%) for breathability, or high-quality non-pilling polyester for durability. Ensure the materials meet OEKO-TEX Standard 100 or GB 18401-2010 (Class B or A) to guarantee they are free from harmful substances like formaldehyde and azo dyes.

Focus on reinforced stitching at high-stress areas like armpits and crotches. For active primary students, double-layered knees in trousers and colorfastness levels of 4 or higher are critical to withstand frequent washing. Additionally, check for anti-shrinkage treatments and the use of YKK zippers or high-grade buttons to ensure the garment lasts the entire school year.

Safety is paramount in children's apparel. Ensure there are no functional drawstrings around the neck or hood area to prevent choking hazards, complying with ASTM F1816 or EN 14682. For regions like the US, products must be CPSIA compliant, requiring a Children’s Product Certificate (CPC) and lead/phthalate testing reports from a CPSC-accepted lab.

Yes, most professional suppliers on Made-in-China.com offer OEM/ODM services. This includes custom embroidery or heat-transfer printing for school logos, bespoke color matching based on Pantone codes, and the addition of reflective strips for student safety during commutes. Always request a pre-production sample to verify logo precision and color accuracy.

Always implement a third-party inspection (such as SGS or Intertek) before the final balance payment. Conduct an AQL 2.5/4.0 inspection to check for sizing deviations, loose threads, and fabric defects. Utilizing secured payment terms on platforms like Made-in-China.com can protect your funds until the shipping documents are verified.

Negotiate based on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) rather than just the unit price. Ask for tiered pricing (e.g., 500, 1000, and 5000 units) and discuss long-term partnership discounts. You can often secure a 5-10% discount by committing to an annual volume or by optimizing the packaging to reduce shipping volume.

Apparel often attracts specific tariffs; check the HS Code (usually Chapter 61 or 62) for your specific country. For large wholesale orders, Sea Freight (FCL or LCL) is the most economical, but ensure you factor in a 30-45 day lead time. For urgent mid-term refills, Air Freight is faster but significantly more expensive. Ensure the supplier provides a detailed Packing List and Commercial Invoice to avoid customs delays.
