Wholesale resin souvenir magnet manufacturers

When sourcing resin magnets, prioritize Polyresin (Cold Cast Resin) for its ability to capture intricate 3D details. Ensure the supplier uses non-toxic, eco-friendly pigments that offer high UV resistance to prevent fading. The magnet itself should be a strong ferrite magnet or a neodymium magnet for premium items, securely recessed into the back with industrial-grade adhesive to prevent detachment.

For entry into major markets, products must comply with REACH (EU) or CPSIA (US) standards, specifically regarding lead and phthalate content in paints and resins. Always request EN71 Part 3 certification for toy safety if the magnets are marketed as collectibles. Ensure the magnetic flux index is within legal limits to avoid customs seizures related to hazardous materials regulations.

A professional supplier should offer OEM/ODM services including 3D modeling (CAD/ZBrush) based on your photos or sketches. Look for techniques like hand-painting (hand-color drawing) for a premium finish and decal printing for complex logos. Verify if the supplier can provide custom blister packaging or backing cards to enhance retail value and brand identity.

The resin should have a Shore D hardness rating sufficient to resist chipping during transit. The paint finish should pass a cross-cut tape test for adhesion. A high-quality souvenir magnet should feature clear, crisp relief details without air bubbles (pinholes) and a smooth, flat back surface to ensure it sits flush against metal surfaces.

Resin is inherently brittle. You must mandate individual bubble bag packaging or custom-fit styrofoam inserts for each unit. Ensure the outer cartons are 5-layer corrugated fiberboard with a bursting strength certificate. Request a drop test report (ISTA 1A) from the supplier before the bulk shipment leaves the factory.

Focus on mold fee amortization; for large orders (e.g., >5,000 units), negotiate to have the mold cost refunded or waived. Discuss tiered pricing based on the complexity of the hand-painting required. To ensure quality, link the final 70% payment to a successful Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) conducted by a third party.

Use Trade Assurance or secure payment terms through reputable platforms like Made-in-China.com to protect your funds. To protect your designs, sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) before sharing 3D files or unique local landmarks, and ensure the contract specifies that the intellectual property of the custom molds belongs to the buyer.

Due to the high weight-to-volume ratio of resin and magnets, Sea Freight (LCL) is the most economical for bulk orders. However, be aware that magnets are considered 'sensitive goods' in air freight; if shipping by air, you must use magnetic shielding packaging and provide a Magnetic Inspection Report to comply with IATA regulations.
