Wholesale travel wallet manufacturers

When sourcing travel wallets, prioritize RFID-blocking materials to protect against electronic theft. For the exterior, Genuine Leather offers premium durability and aging, while Water-resistant Nylon or PU Leather provides a cost-effective, lightweight, and vegan-friendly alternative. Ensure the interior features high-density polyester lining and reinforced stitching at stress points like card slots and passport sleeves to prevent tearing during frequent use.

A competitive travel wallet must include dedicated compartments for passports, boarding passes, and multiple currencies. Look for designs with YKK zippers to ensure smooth operation and longevity. For the corporate gift sector, ensure the supplier offers customization options such as debossing, silk-screen printing, or metal logo plates. Additionally, integrated SIM card slots and pen holders are highly valued by business travelers.

For the US market, ensure materials are California Proposition 65 compliant regarding lead and phthalate content. For the EU, products must adhere to REACH regulations to ensure no harmful chemicals are used in the tanning or dyeing process. If you are targeting eco-conscious consumers, seek suppliers with GRS (Global Recycled Standard) or LWG (Leather Working Group) certifications to validate sustainable sourcing practices.

Perform a zipper cycle test (opening/closing 50+ times) and a seam strength test by applying tension to the pockets. Check for edge paint consistency; high-quality wallets have smooth, multi-layered edge oiling that won't crack. Request a salt spray test report for metal hardware to ensure it won't corrode in humid or coastal environments.

Always utilize Secured Payment services provided by reputable platforms like Made-in-China.com, which offer escrow-style protection. Conduct a Supplier Audit to verify if the factory is a 'Diamond Member' or has been audited by third parties like SGS or TÜV Rheinland. Never wire full payments to private bank accounts; stick to corporate accounts verified by the platform.

Start by requesting a tiered pricing structure (e.g., 500, 1000, and 5000 units). If your initial volume is low, negotiate a higher unit price for the first order with a written agreement that the price difference will be credited back upon reaching a specific annual volume. Mention that you are evaluating multiple Made-in-China.com audited suppliers to encourage competitive bidding.

Travel wallets are relatively high-value but low-volume, making Sea-Air combined transport or LCL (Less than Container Load) shipping ideal. Ensure the supplier uses desiccant silica gel packs in every individual polybag to prevent mold during long sea transit. Clearly define Incoterms (e.g., FOB or DAP) in the contract to avoid unexpected destination charges or customs clearance disputes.

Do not rely solely on supplier claims. Request a technical data sheet for the RFID-shielding fabric (usually a copper/nickel composite). For bulk orders, hire a third-party inspection agency to perform a random field test using an RFID reader/scanner at the factory before the final balance is paid.
